An exceptional experience. Exquisitely prepared and presented food, way above good restaurant fare. Distinctive ambience in rare tranquility and rugged wild beauty. The welcome is warm and gentle so peace is the overall atmosphere.

Perhaps this review would've been better had the local roads been less treacherous, the place so remote, the cleaning of rooms better or the wifi working, however, the real problem was the staff, one younger woman in particular, and an older woman, mother and daughter? A mirror suddenly fell off the wall a few days into our stay which I... More

This venue is something else. A family run hotel with great food and love rooms. The main restaurant is very good. Michelin quality. The hotel itself is very informal. If you want something you have to ask for it. There is not a full time staff so to speak of. That though is what makes it. It's like you're staying... More

All my family would like to thank everyone at Borgo Alveria for a lovely relaxing holiday in the tranquilty of the lovely Italian country side. The famiy members who run this hotel do everthing possible to accomodate your every need and travelling with two children can prove to be quite demanding. So a big thank you to everyone for all... We stayed for 6 nights in early July this year. After the testing journey along the Italian roads to reach the agriturismo we arrived to a nice welcome. The accommodation is well furnished in a very nice blend of modern and traditional styles. The location of the property is spectacular and it is very peaceful and relaxing! At times it... More

I had a fantastic time in this so relaxing place, where everything seems to be made for you. As soon as I arrived, the owner came to welcome me and answered all my questions regarding places to visit and how to move around. The room was huge and so confortable... and I enjoyed the swiming pool in the middle of... More

We rounded off our stay in Noto with 3 nights here. The other reviews describe the history, style and layout very effectively so I won't repeat them. This is not a hotel it is a getaway/retreat/chill out venue and it doesn't disappoint. We first stayed last October and I'd say it has improved. Ivan and Cara are front of house... More

An outstanding location with the highest quality food and outstanding local wine. The service was attentive and friendly. The room was in beautiful stone and well furnished. The family and staff running the Borgo are delightful. We shall go again.

Grounds are lovely, room was modern (but dark), hotel staff just not naturally friendly. They need to realize they are now in the hospitality industry. I was greeted by what I assume was the son. He was not very friendly but seemed to be trying. We were shown our room which was very beautiful--roomy and nice but dark. We settled... More

Once you find this converted monastery opposite the ancient ruins of the old town of Noto you will find it relaxing and a haven in the Sicilian countryside. It is a long way from the town on winding roads so it is just as well that they have a very good restaurant on site. There is a pool which is... More
