We had been looking forward to visiting Ikos Olivia for a long time. We’d originally booked for May 2020, but due to Covid had to cancel. This was part of our honeymoon and everything from the reservations team right through to the Hotel Manager Liza made our stay absolutely amazing. We had requested a one bedroom bungalow with pool view room and lots of afternoon sun. Liza placed us in a spectacular room which had the best view abs most importantly, lots of afternoon sun. Our garden was spacious and there was plenty of room for our little one to run around. There was a slight issue with some of the plumbing in the bathroom and Liza not only came to see to the matter personally but was also so quick to provide us with 3 options, one being upgraded to a room with a private pool. This room was stunning I highly recommend booking this room in the deluxe area. The restaurants were great. Anaya had fantastic food, full of flavour and they were always accommodating with our little one. The views from both Ouzo and Fresca were spectacular especially the sunsets. The staff at Ouzo were exceptional, accommodating any dietary requirements we had and also squeezing us in a couple of times. We preferred the breakfast at Provence, even though the restaurant only had a pool view. We had stayed at Porto Sani the week before, which was a completely different experience (in an extremely good way). At Ikos, it was nice not to have to think about what’s included/not included in the menus and drinks. This along with Liza’s amazing service and exceptional management of the resort are the 2 reasons why we will return with our extended family.…
This was our 2nd visit here in 2020 due to cancellations/rearrangements because of Covid. How lucky are we. We have already completed a review for our visit in August so will keep this one short, but felt the hotel deserve the additional review. Visiting at the end of the season (Oct Half Term) you're not quite sure what to expect and what the standards will be. We didn't have to worry, everything was available and the same standards as August. Everything was amazing. We had the best experience in very difficult (for the staff) circumstances. The staff are the best we have ever come across and are really beautiful people. They are so consistent in their service and really care about each guest. They have faced a huge challenge this year and have pulled it off amazingly. We thanked many before we left, but again, thank you.…
Absolutely lovely hotel with great service, very friendly. Nikolitsa was very helpful and friendly. All the stuff was super helpful. Good variety of food and good rooms. Amazing beach and lot of beach activities. Great for children. Very good spa treatments. Social distancing is everywhere so felt very secure.I am looking forward visiting this hotel again as soon as we are allowed to.
We spent the most amazing week here in September and would definitely recommend the hotel. The setting is beautiful and so relaxing. It is spotlessly clean and they make sure that everything is cleaned religiously given current restrictions. Apart from the fact the staff are wearing masks, you feel so relaxed it’s almost like you’re in a little bubble of luxury...after you pass the COVID test of course! Touching on the COVID issue...Ikos have got it sussed. You take a test on arrival and you know everyone else has too which is comforting and starts the relaxing process! There’s a WhatsApp option where you can send requests, bookings (restaurants and gym etc) and issues to guest relations. This is such a good idea and makes life so easy. The tables and sun beds are sanitised the minute you leave them and it’s obvious they’re cleaning public areas and toilets throughout the day. Only 4 people in the gym at any time and you have to book...everything works and you do feel comfortable here. Well done Ikos! Theres a good choice of restaurants - all are now a la carte - and the food is lovely. None of us had one meal that we didn’t enjoy. We would recommend booking some of the restaurants before you go though to make sure you get where you want and times you’d like. Snacks are also lovely. There’s a wide choice for vegetarians and a separate vegan menu and they’re also very aware of allergies. We did have a problem with our shower which maintenance tried to fix a few times - we then had problems intermittently. The hotel were very quick to respond and we can’t complain at all at how they tried to resolve it, but it was a little bit annoying having the bathroom flood a few times! Probably the best thing about this hotel is the staff - we couldn’t fault them at all. Nothing is too much trouble, they’re outstanding. They were all so friendly, polite and helpful without being intrusive. But special mentions must go out to Ionna (in Flavors restaurant), Manos (beach buddy round the pool), Evaggalia and Elefetaria (brought us cocktails and Provence rose all day!) and Klea and Betty (also brought us drinks round the pool all day!). Antonios (bar manager) and Tasos (all day bar) and Eleni (Provence restaurant) were also amazing. Ikos...you have some amazing staff. We’ve already booked our next trip!…
We were guests of Ikos Olivia mid October this year. We know Ikos Resorts from other vacations in Ikos Oceania and Ikos Aria and we were curious about the differences that awaited us due to the corona measures. We were very friendly welcomed at the hotel by Concierge Alex. The obligatory Covid19 test before check-in was quick and uncomplicated. After a negative test result the mask could be taken off and then we did not have to wear it in the resort anymore. Alex took over the check-in and guided us to our room (upgrade to a Deluxe One Bedroom Suite Private Pool Sea View). The suite was fantastic: very spacious with separate living area and the highlight, a (heated) private pool on the terrace. The room equipment as usual from Ikos very well thought out and of high quality. Alex and his colleague Ioli at the Deluxe Concierge-Desk were always very friendly and helpful when we had inquiries. I also really enjoyed the conversations with Alex, who has the talent of making you feel special. The cuisine was excellent in all restaurants. Due to the hygiene precautions, the food was also served as a menu in the actual buffet restaurant "Flavors", which was very convenient for us as non-buffet lovers. Compared to the non-pandemic situation, breakfast had to be reserved in addition to dinner - understandably, to meet the logistical challenges. The distance between the tables was always given with regard to hygiene regulations, so that one felt very safe and could enjoy the meal even more. The French restaurant "Provence" deserves a special mention: the team around restaurant manager Thekla harmonized perfectly so that the meal - no matter if it was breakfast, lunch or dinner - was always an experience. Thekla knows as Alex how to read wishes from the eyes of the guests and to make every dinner something unique. We deliberately chose Provence for the perfect end of our holiday on the last evening and were not disappointed. Many thanks for that. During the day we spent most of our time on the beach. There and at the pool, the loungers and cabanas were at a safe distance. The beverage service at the beach was excellent. Especially Nikoleta made sure that the cocktail „pipeline“ never ran dry. Her bar and beverage knowledge was really remarkable. The creations she recommended were all great –thus, the "Sweet Summer Night" is our new favourite. All in all, our 10-day stay was amazing. All the staff played their part in making you feel safe within the hygiene rules and yet for a few days you could forget all about the pandemic madness.…
