What can I say? I love a good moan about service and food etc but we’ve come back here three times now and I can’t find a thing wrong with the place. Could I nit pick? Sure… I might like a change of tunes round the deluxe pool, but apart from that it’s pure perfection! From the moment we arrived, Despina on the deluxe desk made us feel like a member of her family and checked in on us every day. Our room (719) was beautiful and the housekeeping team were so quick and discreet. The food was lovely. The only restaurant we feel could do with a little menu revamp was Provence. Round the family pool, Meggie checked in on us all of the time and at the deluxe pool, Elena and Michalis deserve a special mention… we wished we could have taken them home with us as they’re now a part of the family. In the restaurants, we would like to say a massive thank you to Vanessa in Provence, Enea who seemed to be everywhere, Christos and Maxim. You all made such a wonderful impression, thank you! We don’t want to leave this happy little bubble that we are currently in, but we will be back next year for sure. Thank you to all of the team!

Great place, wonderful accommodation, services and facilities. Food and drink quality high across the board - but cocktails are generally weak and could be more flavorful - but contain good quality spirits. If you enjoy wines, then the selection across their 4 restaurants, wine cellars, and 1 buffet will keep you sufficiently busy (and likely inebriated!) throughout your stay! Staff are wonderfully positive, cheery and helpful. Standouts for us were Despina from the Deluxe deck, George from Ouzo, Lea from the kids club and Dora from the Aqua pool bar! They, and the rest of the team, made our stay the wonderful experience that it was!

Ikos hotels are presented with a degree of sophistication and elegance and yes they do have it in abundance. Olivia’s gardens are a delight and much of the site is very impressive. The rooms are large and stylish. Our personal aspect for this break was high quality food and a stress free break.

The buffet is impressive, and I mean impressive, although breakfast eggs, omelette’s appear difficult to deliver. The French just know how this is done.

The speciality restaurants however good, did not “wow”, which was a mild disappointment. The lemon tart for example was bland when compared with Sainsbury’s taste the difference tart. Deserts in general are just ok.

The wine “cava” is a definite plus, however you have to navigate your way through some of the basic wines. The gentleman in the Provence restaurant went out of way to assist. Also book the wine tasting. Drinks and cocktails are good. The ice-cream, is poor and the “gelaterie” premise needs a serious rethink.

The staff are exceptionally and aim to please and any concerns you may have are addressed promptly by guest relations by WhatsApp and personal visits.

Even though the hotel was extremely popular with very young children (who appear very well catered for), this should not deter adults or older couples visiting.

Improvements can be made, however to reach Dubai standards it will be hard work. As ever there is a cost / benefit equation to manage.

Yes, we would visit again and even take our teenage children.

A few closing notes,
The Ikos “mini adventure” is clever thinking.
The dine out I suspect is only as good the local restaurants (not great at Olivia).
Adult bicycles are a bit battered but functional, however make sure you have a personal GPS as some local roads are tracks through the olive groves.

Back from a week at ikos Olivia with 2 small children and we had the best time. Accommodation, food, drink, facilities all amazing. What really makes it is the fantastic service, everyone we dealt with went above and beyond, unfortunately I can’t mention all of their names. Stephanie, Michelle and Despina from the deluxe concierge desk couldn’t do enough for us

This hotel is very very good, but not quite perfect. Ikos’s main asset is its staff, who were all wonderful. From Anna on guest relations to Dimitris the wine waiter extraordinaire, Matilda, Maria and Anastacia on the beach and bar areas to Dimitris on towels and sunglasses cleaning. I won’t concentrate on the many good aspects of the hotel, as many of the reviews below do that perfectly well. There are a few minor points that I think could be improved on, for example: i) The entertainment in the theatre is quite poor, not what you would expect from a 5* hotel. There are 9 singer/dancers performing a few shows each week (I think one was Gary Windass) over a backing tape to a not very high standard. I’m knocking off 0.3 marks for this. ii) Lack of English TV channels. I know that you’re not supposed to go on holiday to watch the TV but, with the 2-hour UK time difference, going up to your room at 11pm with a bottle of wine to watch a drama beginning in the UK at 9, did feel very tempting some evenings. Minus 0.2. iii) Champagne – every hotel should sell champagne, even if the cost is extra. Fortunately, this one does, but is not advertised on any menu and so we only found it by chance right near the end of our 12 night stay, and there was no extra charge. No deduction, but there would have been had we not stumbled across it! iv) Finally, it’s not a complaint of mine but it was for several of the other guests during our stay and that is the number of toddlers! So beware, it is a family hotel and so do expect children. There are adult only areas both on the beach and in the restaurants So it’s a 9.5 for me, and we do intend to visit the other Ikos resorts, exchange rate permitting.

We have just returned from our 7th stay at the Ikos Olivia and although we went on our own this year we still had a fabulous time. The staff make this resort. We were greeted as old friends and treated with great respect without exception. I have said everything in my previous 6 reviews of the Ikos Olivia and my experience wasn't any different this year. The quality of the food was excellent and we used all the restaurants apart from the Italian (personal choice). A big shout out to General Manager Mr Bill, George, F&B Manager, Veroni, Guest Relations Manager, Vasilis and Olga from the Lobby Bar, George, Ouzo. Theano, Anaya and Vanessa in the Provence. Thank you to everyone

As many people have already written, the service is outstanding and it’s easy to see that IKOS focus very carefully on customer care. So many smiling staff, greet you with a “good morning” and “is there anything I can do for you” which is exceptional. The fact that whilst we were sitting around the pool, a waiter came up to us and asked us if we wanted our sunglasses cleaned, shows the lengths they go to, to make your stay exceptional. Big shout out to Olga and Winnie, who provided an exceptional service around the pool and bar area. We stayed in a superior room, which is very spacious and has 2 air conditioning units, which are on permanently throughout the day. There is a main pool at the front of the hotel, which is much quieter than the childrens pool, which sits around the middle of the hotel. There is also a deluxe pool, for deluxe guests only, which was very serene. The food in the hotel is excellent and without doubt, the best all inclusive food I have ever eaten. There are 4 themed restaurants - Italian, French, Greek and Asian (which was our favourite), which can be booked in advance via the IKOS app. In addition, there is a canteen style restaurant, which doesn’t require booking and offers a variety of dishes. One of the options available on the food front, is to eat outside the hotel. Whilst I applaud the efforts that IKOS are making here to help outside businesses, we found the restaurant outside the hotel to be of a very poor standard, not only in service, but also by way of food. Sadly for me, I had to review the 4 seasons restaurant a one star on trip advisor. It really was that bad. There are tennis courts, volleyball and a 5 a side football pitch for the energetic. Oddly enough, even though there are extensive grounds, there was no crazy golf course, which I found odd, as this is a fun thing to play even in the high temperature of the day. Evening entertainment is very restricted. They put a couple of shows on a week, but apart from the odd singer in the bar area, you are left pretty much to your own devices, which again we found disappointing. Whilst I was very keen to give this resort 5 stars, there were a number of minus points, which sadly prevented me from giving the highest score. The holiday was sadly marred, when one of our company, who requires a wheelchair, had a very nasty accident when the front wheels of the chair got stuck in a grid which covers some of the pathways. She was catapulted out of the wheelchair and suffered nasty cuts and bruises to her face and legs as a result. To be fair to the hotel, they took the incident seriously and advised that they would be acquiring ramps to enable access over the grids in future. The main pool has a problem with flies. Nearby, there is an area where rubbish is dumped. Whilst there is a large hedge to hide this, the area does have an excess of flies, so if you are sunbathing, prepare to be pestered by them. Why the hotel doesn’t deal with this, I don’t know. The hotel does have its own beach area and this is very popular and again well served by staff. There are however no signs to warn you, that there are a significant number of jellyfish in the water, so be very careful if you do want to take a dip. Unless you take advantage of the mini car on offer, there is very little outside of the hotel. One or two small shops and that’s it, apart from a bar, which I’m pleased to say does offer live premier league football to any football fans who want to watch.

As a seasoned traveller, my wife Jayne and her friends stayed in the Deluxe Bungalow for 7 nights and had the most fantastic experience. The deluxe All-inclusive is superb and the staff service is one of the best experienced. The food and wines choices are amazing and cater for allergies and provide some of the very best Vegan and Vegetarian choices. From the point of arrival to departure the staff were amazing and caring. I am envious of their fun and will be booking our return so I can sample the Greek hospitality myself. They enjoyed the complimentary MINI to tour the island which is a lovely touch and again another huge benefit. The high reviews given reflect a well organised and run facility, that has emerged after the last few COVID years strongly. Just check the various deals on BA and other airlines as you will find this place to be tranquil and an oasis of pleasure.

We want to have a look to this Hotel, maybe for the next stay. We looked for the Spa Area, the Pool Area and within the Hotel. Next we made a Stopp at the Bar and asked the young lady, if we can get drinks although we are not guests at this Hotel and we want to pay for it. No Problem was the answer! By ordering the drinks we guessed, that the young lady was not able to understand the english language as well...after some drinks we we want to pay the drinks and the trouble started. During our stay the Manager of the restaurant was coming. Later we asked the Manager for the bill...and in this moment he called the security, the guys at the Reception and we don't know which people additional...big trouble started... He told us, that we don't have to pay for the drinks. There's no possibility to get our payment. We couldn't understand this procedure and we said "Thank you" and asked for the Tipp box. The "Manager" told us, that there is no Box, but we can give the Tipp by the hand. We did and gave him 30€ for the Team. He was very friendly....we went to the exit and then came a Member of the Security together with the "Bar Manager" and gave the Security the hint for us. The security kicked us then out of the Hotel and accompanied us to the main exit with the words "due to the Covid-19-Regulations" Aha right... due this rules. Nobody has actually rules in Greece and why didn't informed us the young lady? Unbelievable! We felt like a criminal. But one is sure, this will be not the first choice for our next holiday in Greece.

The welcome, the place, the staff all absolutely great. In particular I would like to thank Katarina (glasses) for the utmost professional approach. The food in all restaurants really very successful. The only thing that disappointed us that for the whole week, we did not have a change of bed linen. I would expect that from a hotel like this. Room 599. If possible, we would be happy to return to the IKOS resort.
