The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. The food at Flame was excellent but a little expensive. The bars and lounge are gorgeous, newly refurbished and looking very chic. The rooms rooms themselves are a little dated but very clean and have very nice amenities, like a

Clean and well kept, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking even when busy. Did not get a chance to use golf course, as was only there for 2 days, and there was a sign up saying the course would be closing permanently this year, but to be fair, that is a lot of prime real

Was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. I always thought that the Blunsdon area was full of the Swindon Rejects - but its actually quite nice. We arrived at the hotel at nine minutes past eleven - apparently nine minutes too late for the breakfast! It didn't start off well,

Dear Karenhasthekids, Thank you for posting a review here at Tripadvisor. We were glad to read that a visit to Blunsdon House changed your conceptions of the area as a whole, for the better. We were also delighted to read that you were able to find some rest and relaxation, in what sounds like quite a hectic schedule. We hope to welcome you back to the hotel again soon and until such a time, wish you all the best. Kind regards, BHH

Ok then let’s begin to explain the amazing facilities. The tennis court was fabulous to be honest I’m surprised the tennis opens aren’t held here. The golf course is splendid and I must say the rooms are luxurious. The kids loved sleeping in there own room down the corridor I

I barely know where to begin with this “4 star hotel”. Myself and a small group of friends booked to stay here for one night on 9th February. We began our stay with lunch in the bar area whilst we waited for our room to be ready. It looked nice enough. We all ordered our food,

Dear Haz2222, It is not all that often that we receive such a review, so full of venom and hyperbolic inaccuracy, its seems written more for malicious effect than anything else. We are a family run independent hotel that is professionally inspected twice a year, by separate bodies - the AA and Best Western International. The inspectors are expert in their field and we are always keen to receive and act on the constructive and sensible feedback. All of our bedrooms are non smoking. We are very careful to monitor our customer response and as result, proudly maintain a meta score of 84% across multiple review sites framed by hundreds of collective customer opinions. The "crux" of your complaint seems to be the allocation of an accessible room which was evidently so offensive to you that you even went to all the trouble of extending the shower seat for a photo. As is industry practice, we allocate these as normal rooms, indeed the only differentiating factor from an entirely standard room are the guaranteed flat level access and bathroom facilities which contain a number of aids for those that may require them. It is exceptionally rare that a customer take issue with such a room. The rest of your review is heavily padded with hospitality "red flags", that is to say grossly generalised complaints ("more training required", "bad food - no menu items") that could apply to just .about anywhere, without any really specific example. Malign reviewers frequently attach such comments to a core complaint in an effort to bolster the legitimacy of their point. It is only a shame given the your description of events and the gross dissatisfaction you were evidently experiencing, you did not at any point ask to speak to a member of our senior management team who are always on duty. They are very good at resolving complaints and can very quickly get to the heart of the matter . Contrary to your claim we did receive any kind of formalised feedback from you - we always respond, as evidenced here. We operate both digital (TV real time feedback) and an in house comment form system to maximise the information we receive, in addition to internet review sites like this one. We are after all in the business of looking after people, if an issue does present, we want to be able to rectify it quickly and professionally. We strive to deliver for each and every one of customers, we do not however accept your account of the hotel nor identify with the product you describe. We ask any third party reading this review to check our many other excellent reviews, across multiples site and to form their own opinion of the legitimacy and accuracy of your review. Regards, BHH

Sorry it's awhile since we stayed in this hotel so I can't truly remember. Ask for a room that has one.

Looks like it's been due for refurbishment for some time - I was there a year ago and the jacuzzi was still roped off and a window pane still boarded up!
