Arriving after a 9 hour drive, the staff were (thankfully) multilingual. Room had gorgeous view of the valley from its balcony although sadly not to Mt Blanc.Comfortable bed and relaxing bath. Breakfasts were very filling served once again by helpful staff.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Spent a week at Hotel du Bois in February and couldn't have asked for a better base for our ski trip to Chamonix. Hotel is minutes from skiing in Les Houches and a free shuttle is provided to get you there or to ski rental shops and a free bus pass is provided to get you to further ski areas...

My wife and I stayed a total of four nights at the Du Bois Hotel while skiing in Les Houches in march 2013. Location: The hotel is located on the main street of Les Houches. It could not be considered as being within easy walking distance of either the Bellevue or Prarion lifts (not with ski gear anyway). This however...

We stayed here for a long weekends boarding. The hotel is fine, rooms are basic but that's what you get in a French ski resort. The bar area is quite nice with a roaring log burning stove, all very cosy. The Les Houches town is very quiet, but lively Chamonix is a free bus ride away, taxi back once full...

The hotel is easily accessible from the motorway (i.e. it's within a few hundred yards). There didn't seem to be a lot of parking spaces, but luckily we always found one. The hotel was clean. Staff were always very helpful and friendly and spoke English. Our room was a decent size. The bathroom was fine, but seemed a little tired....

A perfect stay at a perfect location already planning on staying next year. We were a group on 8 lads on holiday all with differing ability in terms of skiing, this resort was perfect to cater for all. The shuttle bus to the slopes was great and the staff superb.

Loved staying here due to the easy access to the ski lifts thanks to the free shuttle service including taking you to hire your skis with a generous discount from the ski shop thrown in. The people are very warm and friendly, really helpful and the service is fab. There's a comfy bar with a huge fireplace and views into...

I really liked this hotel, it was better than the three stars suggest. The room was comfortable and a good size for an economy room. The bed was comfortable with a furry bed spread, extra pillows and blankets available. I loved that there was a fridge, hair dryer and flat screen TV with UK channels. Also really convenient having free...

This would be a good choice for short- to medium-term stays in the Mont Blanc valley - larger than a pension or guest house, more character than a chain hotel. The facilities here are good for the type of hotel - free wifi, good breakfast and dinner buffets, decent-sized pool (which was large enough for swimming but a bit too...

This hotel is very good for a 3 star. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. There is a nice indoor pool which is easy to use, and it is a good temperature; this was a huge bonus to our holiday as our girls were in it every day after skiing. The rooms are quite small, but nice and...
