Want in early July and the only issue was the roof repairs. Had we known that work went on from 07.30 to 18.00 we would not have gone. This is long term work and the workmen and their tasks are very noisy and intrusive.
Clearly, standards do not compete with a good Hotel but much more is on offer here with the gardens next door and the history of the Abbey. I found the staff very agreeable and Sara the tour guide was excellent.Lunch is available at the Gardens...More
