We booked into the Hotel de la Poste in Charolles, for the final night in our short trip to France, we wanted to spoil ourselves with a last night of luxury before returning to the every day mundane grind. And boy did we choose well. The hotel is old school luxury and oppulence, a small establishment which has a very... More

We stayed for only one night. Room was large enough. Nicely decorated. Superb restaurant ! Very friendly staff and management. Fresh and healthy breakfast. Located in the heart of the village next to the church. It is a "hidden treasure" in the sourthern part of France.

We were here for the restaurant, we admit...... That's the upside. Downside, there's no car park and most rooms are in a separate building acroos the river, so the heavy luggage we had was an issue. Anyway, we didn't really use all the facilities. Upsides - the room was different and lovely and the breakfast was brilliant in a charmingly... More

We had eaten here before, but having to drive afterwards limited our enjoyment. Our second meal was every bit as good, and all the amenities of the hotel, and breakfast, were up to the same standard. A quick walk around the town yielded a lovely surprise - charming traffic free area and charming medieval architecture

I can't say that the hotel was bad, but for that location and for what the hotel is, the price charged is not justified. The following day we stayed in a hotel at a significantly more touristy place, wonderful location, admittedly only three stars, not four, but not significantly different when coming to substance. At the end of the day,... More

We stayed in one of the spacious rooms ,just across from the main building(free upgrade, thank you so much).Great bed, great bathroom, great breakfast. The dinner was excellent, very energetic(a little too much perhaps) young staff managed attentive and effective service despite 2 full rooms. We just loved the trilogy of veal, which we thought was both innovative and very tasty. The wine list is extensive,we... More

Our second visit to the Hotel de la Poste confirmed the excellent impression gleaned from the first. Two of the party of four were celebrating birthdays and, although blessed in this part of France with many very good local restaurants, we all agreed that this was special. Courteous but never obsequious service from apero to coffee was the hallmark of... More

We booked the hotel based on other revies on trip advisor and I have to say it wasnt what I expected. The hotel and rooms are ok not overly priced and fairly spacious.
