The "Khashi of South India", Gokarna lies at the confluence of the Aghanashini and Gangavalli rivers and is cradled between the Sahyadri's and the Arabian Sea. Its timeless temples and beguiling beaches draw a steady stream of pilgrims and tourists. The Om Beach that traces the shape of the Hindu symbol Om is the most popular of Gokarna's Beaches and lends its name to the Om Beach Resort perched on the slopes of hillock overlooking a verdant valley. While Gokarna's temples transcend eras its beaches are throbbing with life. The famous Om Beach, the less known Kudle Beach, the quiet Half Moon Beach and the pristine Paradise Beach are four scenic strips of sand, sandwiched between the hills and the sea. The villages of Sanikatta and Tadadi are located in close proximity to Gokarna. Manufacturing salt for over three centuries, Sanikatta is the oldest salt manufacturing site in Karnataka. Tadadi has a fishing harbour and a fish processing plant set up through an Indo-Danish collaboration. With rugged trekking trails and great outdoors, the adventurous can embark on paths of discovery in and around Gokarna.

We were on a leisure karnatak road trip from 27th to 3rd march 2023. Our stay at kali jangle resort and devbaug island resort was fabulous in spite of a little run down rooms and very bad approach road to the devbaug island resort. The staff from the top rank to the bottom most were so welcoming, affectionate, caring and respectful. However, our trip didn't end on the same note having met the manager at Om beach resort. If any example to be given whom not to appoint as a manager in hospitality industry then this manager at this property would be an apt example. Very unwelcoming sad face, not even ready to talk to the guest with a smile. In fact the word smile doesn't exist in his dictionary. I do understand people might have some issues in their personal lives. But then such people SHOULD NOT BE APPOINTED AS THE FRONT DESK STAFF. He could be easily kept on back office desk if the government wants to do charity. The money charged is not less. Travelling from pune was not easy for us either. Then why did we go there to see this sad face???? Not just that, we asked for an extra ride at extra cost as there were no other guests. He refused it bluntly. The entire staff there is being harassed by this man.

Basic but comfortable accommodation in peaceful surroundings and had everything one needed with friendly helpful staff. We said we didn't need TV as all in local languages, so they kindly set up an English channel for us (all cricket). Food was good Indian cuisine but we were told which were the really spicy dishes. One can walk down to the Main Beach in Gokarna (just over a km) but it is quite a steep uphill to return. Not a problem but one has to realize the resort is not on the beach, but transport is available to take you there. The famous Om beaches are a 15minute car ride away. Very nice, good sized, and well kept swimming pool. A resident Brahminy kite watched us swim. We had paid up front as part of a package, but looking at the online prices it was very good value. Would definitely return.

We stayed there for 2 nights. The property is very nice. The rooms are huge and clean, the food is freshly made and the staff is really helpful. It's not overtly luxurious but if you wanna be surrounded by nature, wake up with the chirping of the birds and watch beautiful sunsets, this is the place for you.

This is an excellent resort stay option in Gokarna. It's approx 1 km away from the main Gokarna Beach and main marketplace. The property is old and spread in very big area. The room size is also very big with nice verandah and very good cleanliness. There is nice pool inside and lots of trees around in the property area. Treat for nature lovers. On lucky day you can spot peacocks dancing around :). The stay is inclusive of all meal package. The food served in breakfast and meals are all classic homely style, simple and flavorful. Also liquor shop available inside restaurant. By jeep, drop and pick up service they provide on fixed timing in the morning and in the evening. Staff is very generous and very kind. We fully enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property for Family Travellers planning to visit Gokarna. Tip: Plan for at least 2 Night / 3 Day stay and make a comfortable sightseeing plan around to enjoy the stay fully. Om beach must visit in evening for beautiful sunset experience.

Stayed on 10.1.22 1. Don’t take lunch dinner package. Green moong dal and French beans on beach on dinner… seriously? 2. No exhaust in bathroom. Foul smell in play in rooms. 3. Asked for a aloo parantha for my kid on payment basis apart from dinner for which I already paid but they refused even for a kid. 4. This is a Karnataka government controlled and maintained property. I don’t understood for what they were charging? Such a poorly maintained property. 5. Don’t get fooled by photos posted on travelling sites. They are photoshopped. Rest I leave to your wisdom.

We stayed here for one night as we were visiting beach we got a villa for a night. Place is really nice but service is very poor. They don't even offer complimentry tea or coffee or water bottle. Or just put kettle in a room and tea/coffee bags and we can make our own. Men in the restaurant kept staring in weired way which makes uncomfortable

Had a memorable 3 night stay with family and friends. Courteous service staff, homely south indian buffet, Clean and very well maintained cottages. Complementary transport to nearby must see beaches. Special thanks to the Manager Ajmal, who was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely first choice for a vacation in Gokarna.

Perfect place to spend a few days with friends and family. Just like any other JLR Property, here also I found courteous staff who make sure that your stay will be a very pleasant one. The manager on site was Ajmal and he was so very helpful and friendly to us. We had a lot of little kids in the pack and the staff made sure that all of our needs are met. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Looking forward to visiting again

Very calm and quiet resort built over the natural terrain without disturbing environment. Individual houses with very big sit outs with traditional architecture and all required facilities. Sit out can be relaxing points for any mini parties especially when we go with multiple families. Awesome food and very humble and cordial staff. There is facility for Ayurvedic massages too apart from swimming pool, hammocks, climbing net etc.. Gokarna temple is within walkable distance and couple of beaches within few km. Overall great destination for complete relaxation.
