Options of accommodation in Gokarna are limited and infrastructure not well developed and the expensive hotels at Gokarna are just not worth the money.
Since we were travelling by our own car for us stay needed to just pleasant and not luxury as for us the journey by road was the main attraction .

Rooms are just about ok and spacious .Food is average . Staff is courteous . This place is far from the beach can be accessed by car only . it gets pretty dark at nights so need to be careful while returning at night.

So we spend most of time at the beaches as we loved the different beaches at Gokarna and went back to sleep only !

The room we stayed in was fairly clean but a little bit dated. Would benefit from a bit of TLC!
The setting is quite pretty but it's a little way from town so your own transport is a must if you plan on staying here.
The staff were friendly and it was a much better option than some of the scruffy but price hotels which we looked at in Gokarn.

First of all it is not a RESORT. It's a stupid old building which is named Sea bird resort where you will find only DRUNKARDS in the night. The rooms will be full of cockroaches and bed will be of dust and hair.

The Catholic owner is so Rude and indecent who doesn't even know how to talk & respect his clients. May be bcz he doesn't want decent people to come there and wants only Drunkards. And be careful when you reach there in the night. You may find the Rude owner fully Drunk.

Once we booked the room and paid the advance amount, they took us to the room and in a minute we decided to leave the place as it was too unhygienic. When I requested the owner to return the advance amount he started Abusing very badly. How can anyone expect this from a owner?
Finally I will request that please don't go there when you are with the family.

What a disappointment! The hotel claimed to have a pool - it does, but not one with any water in it! It needs one as it is in the middle of nowhere up the hill and it would be nice to cool down. I don't think it has ever had any water in it - look at the photo. This hotel is described as being 15 minutes from the beach - perhaps if you are an athlete. It's an ok walk if you want to explore, but as the route into Gokarna it's too far for many people. The rooms were dirty, the bed covers absolutely disgusting! but the sheets were ok. Phew.
The dining area was nice in the evening - but unfortunately the next morning the tables hadn't been cleared away or the floor cleaned. The food was fine, and I had a very nice meal.
If I had paid £5 a night I would have thought fair enough, but it is overpriced, badly managed and dirty - so unlike most places in India. It was an unpleasant surprise.

They charged 3000 per room for a double bed room. The place was unimaginably dirty, we found frog inside our bathroom. The ceiling of the room was broken. Moreover the location is also very far away from any of sea beaches. Service is extremely poor.

Dreadfull hotel. No swiming pool as advertised. Resturant dirty no knive - when asked for a knife given a chefs knife from kitchen,. 20 mins from beach down a unmade road. Kept Labrador dog in a cage beneath stairs we let him out and he was sent back in with his tail between his legs. Horrible place - not worth £10 a night, although we paid much more. Didn't stay the second night we had booked in. Manager walks around in a vest. Ugh.

Slightly overpriced for a place like Gokarna, however got a good deal at Stayzilla. You can party all night and there's no one to stop you, The service is really good, they make you feel at home. Will not recommend to have meals here, though breakfast is OK OK.
Real good environment, greenery and the rooms are also clean. Ideal to stay with Family and Friends. Walkable distance from the city.

This is friendly budget accommodation at a pilgrim centre such as Gokarna. The rooms are adequate and comfortable. The owner of the place takes personal interest to keep his guests happy and food is prepared to our requirements. A decent place for a short holiday. The surrounding areas are filled with lot of greenery and suitable for a good dose of fresh oxygen.
