Located right at the tip of Om Beach, Namaste Cafe is well located with road access as well as a beach front restaurant. The rooms are all at most a couple of minutes walk on the outside end to the beach. The beach front restaurant affords a large dining area with unrestricted views of the beach and the sea. Centrally located takes an all new meaning when it comes to Namaste Cafe

Cafe looks fine however the staffs here are so arrogant and doesn't care for their customers. We waited for an hour after ordering our food, they are so ignorant to even come and inform the food we order is not available even after following up for couple of times. Guess the food we order "Masala Dosa". I don't even recommend any of my family and friends to come here. These people are taking advantage of tourist for not having much options.

Really bad experience in Namaste cafe. Food is super expensive. Nothing good about the food. They took almost 1 hour to serve the order. When we asked about delay, they gave very rude answers. We ordered Bangda fry and it was horrible. Its only hype. Dont waste your hard earned money.

We Had Been To the cafe Along friends, the attitude of the staff was Super bad They behaved as if they Own the whole gokarna , The food was good , The location is good. Only One Thing is The Staff , Entire Staff behaves As If They Are Doing A Favour By Serving Customers ! Mainly Manager( The Worst Person Of All ), Doesn't know how to treat customers Despite being in the Hospitality Industry! It's better to Avoid this place and There are many other options to visit !

Location-wise this hotel is just a few steps away from the beach. Set amidst nature you are surrounded by trees and it is a good experience. Om beach is comparatively secluded and you can enjoy a coffee sitting by their beach side cafe. Service tends to be slow at the cafe but it is acceptable given that you don't mind gazing into the sea while you wait for your food to arrive. Rooms range from rs 1300 onwards. Suitable for backpackers to other travellers. We stayed in a room for rs 3500 and it was a very comfortable stay. No complaints.

We were here on 27th October in the evening. The staff is least bothered to serve you. The top deck is reserved for in-house guests. The lower deck is just OK with the kitchen exhaust venting over a part of the seating. The waiters are rude and you have to hunt for one to place you order. The place is a overhyped average place and for people who have visited Goan shacks is a strict no-no. Its just that it is located on a beach and maybe the only one, that it has received popularity. food is just average and expensive for the ambience. Avoid this at all costs.

This is in April 2021, just before the second lock down. First of all their check in and check out time is horrible. Check out is at 12.00 Check in at 14.00 hours. It means, you are anyway not allowed even 1 day. Rooms are small and they are keep building rooms to make it more tight spaced. The sea view is only avaialble from the cafe, where the food would take an eternity to reach. The staffs are not courteous, inflexible and they would treat you like they are doing you a favor by letting you stay there after charging through roofs. The only con, this is the only hotel in Om Beach. However I strongly suggest dont stay there, the beach is open, enjoy there and stay in some other hotels and shacks who are more open and less entitled than them. Wish I could have given them negative rating.

The property is no doubt really beautiful. But the staff, the receptionist and manager is extremely pathetic, rude and uncooperative. I had booked 3 rooms for 7 people in from 26th to 29th. Another friend 8th happened to join. He refused to allow him, then we were ready to book another room which he was giving to us at a exorbitant price just for a night. It was evident that he was taking advantage of the situation that we weren't being able to find another room in Gokarna due to peak season and it was late at night. Transport is a problem in Gokarna. We even requested to let the 8th friend use to room to freshen up as he was exhausted after a road journey from Bangalore. The receptionist refused that as well. He was rude and extremely disrespectful. And all of this happened when we had already made booking worth 38k with Namaste Cafe. We were ready to pay extra to let our friend in but he refused. He was looking here and there while I was talking to him. I have travelled across India but even a petty accommodation offers more warm hospitality It was mere harrasment for us. Also when I asked him to connect me to someone senior, he refused. I asked him for a feedback book, he told we don't have one. Claiming to be the best property in Gokarna, Namaste Cafe's service is nothing as it claims to me. No room service, overpriced food and tarrif and lastly and most importantly, the most uncooperative and disrespectful staff. Attaching booking details for validation purposes.

After hearing great reviews from friends who previously visited Gokarna’s Namaste cafe- we decided to have breakfast and lunch at this place and spend the day here. However, to my surprise- we had a horrible experience. The restaurant staff is extremely rude, cranky and unattentive ( they are the only cafe near Om beach) which means they should be slightly more sensitive, accommodating, attentive and hospitable but they are instead rude and least bothered. The cafe does not have updated breakfast and lunch timing and kitchen timings. We went to the cafe at 11.40AM after trekking down. There was no one who came to take an order despite our attempts, after waiting when we went and requested - they said kitchen is closed and refused to take any order or consider our request to serve us at least some food - as we were extremely tired, hungry and had no other place to go near Om beach to have food - it was distressing and a disappointing experience. They did not care about our request! They were so rigid and lacked flexibility and did not help us with any alternate options. The waiter assumed I did not know Kannada (but I did) and mocked at the fact that we were getting furious and wanted to speak with the manager - the manager was not even present in the cafe. We wanted to speak to the a manger to just help us some options. Horrible experience with the staff, extremely non-courteous, racist, indifferent and highly discriminatory towards women tourists and tourists that do not understand or know the local language. The hotel and stay takes no responsibility for the cafe and food services, basically - they do not care about tourists and their experience but only about the business. If you are a solo woman going to the cafe or going as a group of women travelling to Cafe- please know that you’re likely going to face discrimination and misogynistic behaviour of the staff, they will prioritise taking orders of groups of men and families over you oh and most importantly assume you can be taken for granted if you do not know local language.

Ok so let me start with that I didnt stay here neither had eaten from their cafe but but this review is solely on one basic thing- I was travelling from goa and reached gokarna, particularly om beach. I had a terrible bladder pain by the time we reached and was looking for a washroom, I saw namaste cafe accomodation just before the stairs that one supposed to hike in order to reach om beach and cafes/ shacks at the beach. Instead of visiting the hotel, i used stairs to reach beach but after covering around 80% stairs, I couldnt locate any cafe (as they are inwards) . Thought its off season so again climbed stairs and finally reached namaste cafe accomodation, I requested the guy at the reception if I could use the washroom to which he refused. When i requested multiple times, he asked me to use stairs and go to their cafe below, literally requested one last time to let me use washroom of the hotel to which he replied that there was no washroom in the hotel , only in rooms 😒 Refusing a woman ( for that matter anyone) in emergency to use washroom by hotel, do you think good food and good rooms are the only criteria for reviewing? If there was genuinely no washroom in hotel, it is really sad and if there was and he lied , 1) its against the Indian Law 2) it is just pathetic attitude!
