Vedic Village Gokarna is celebrated by guests for its expansive and immaculate rooms, which offer cozy amenities despite some suggestions for fresher linens and a more thorough clean. The homestay's own private pool, along with its well-regarded home-cooked meals, ensures a refreshing stay. The host's hospitality and local insights are frequently lauded, especially the homemade breakfast and well-curated interiors that foster a charming atmosphere. I had a family ritual to attend at Gokarna and had to travel with my 9 month old baby. Was looking high and low for the best and cleanest stay when i happened to stumble upon Vedic Village on google.
Looking at the reviews and after speaking to Mr. Rajiv i booked the place without a thought.
And there couldn't be a better decision i could have taken.
The villa is amazing. Very Clean, with all amenities, the plunge pool being an added attraction and most importantly the warm hospitality rendered by Mr. Rajiv and his very sweet wife.
It was home away from home. We could use the common kitchen.. the washing machine and were helped with whatever we needed.
The fresh home made food was so satisfying. My husband still misses the dosas and the variety of sides mr. Rajiv used to offer with explanations of the ingredients.
By far the best place to stay.. better than any hotel or any other home stay.
Thanks alot for a memorable stay Mr. Rajiv, Mrs. Rajiv and not forgetting Ganpi and apologies for delay in reviewing your amazing villa and hospitality.

Visited Vedic Village during the last week of Feb, 2021 with my parents and wife. We stayed in 1 cottage which accommodates upto 4 people. 1 single cottage comes with two rooms (1 A/c and 1 non-A/c) two bathrooms, a exterior exlcusive pool and sit out area. The pictures in the webite/trip advisor/airbnb all justifies appearances in actuality.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Vedic Village, hosted by Rajeev who owns and runs the Home stay. He is involved in every process of customer experience right from Booking to Managing the place to Food preparations for his guests.
He is extremely knowledgeable about the History and the Cultural heritage of the place Gokarna and he will ensure you return home with sound knowledge of the town and it's Rich cultural heritage. ( Do not miss the Gallery/Muesum in the property about Gokarna History if you are inclined/interested in Knowing all bout it).

Food:
The Cottage comes with complimentary breakfast Prepared by Mr. Rajeev himself and serves you the local cuisine of Gokarna and Uttara Kannada/Karnataka region. He is also extremely accommodating if you have particular food preferences and he will prepare that for you , as long as you communicate prior about the same. We found the Food Prepared was scrumptious, just like home cooked food with lot of good taste.
The property serves only Vegetarian Food. However, the owner allows the guests to bring in Non-Vegetarian food from outside and has provided separate cutlery for the same in the Dining area.

Property:
Property was extremely nice and delightful with lot of attention to detail with furniture, design which all represent the region's architecture. It was extremely nice to learn from him the significance and the heritage about the same. The property was appealing and nice and just the way as shown in the pictures. The pool is well maintained and is quite a treat for the kids to play in.
Also Vedic Village is at the top of the hill and is very close(5 mins) to the Kudle Beach and close to Om beach too. The property is about 5-10 mins walk away from the main street in Gokarna.

Overall me and my family had a delightful and very comfortable stay at Vedic College and loved the hospitality and service offered by Mr. Rajeev. We would certainly visit the property again if heading to Gokarna.

A two day stay at Vedic village, Gokarna, turned out to be the most memorable stay for me and my wife. We intended to make a leisurely pilgrimage visit to Gokarna, but Rajeev and Rupashree changed it into an extremely delightful and enjoyable visit for us. We went to a homestay, but the affection, comfort and the ethnic vegetarian food that we received there, we felt we were at home.

The building is on the hilltop, easily accessible, once you enter Gokarna. To make matters easy, give a call to Rajeev as soon as you enter Gokarna and give your whereabouts. He will come to escort you. The property is a mirror image of two units , each with two independent duplex bedrooms. Each unit has an exclusive private pool, which is clean and well maintained. We found the lower room more senior - friendly and comfortable. Rajeev ensures personal attention to your comforts and needs, and you can be as demanding as you are at home. We had a thoroughly relaxing two days and never once felt we were in a strange location.
The temples are at a walking distance, but seniors may require vehicle to go to beaches. Rajeev provides all assistance.

Special word for the ethnic food available on prior notice here. If you are a connoisseur of ethnic vegetarian food, Rajeev provides the authentic fare of local vegetable varieties, forgotten Karnataka recipes and mouth watering health drinks, not available outside. Overall it is a foodie's delight. Rajeev allows non veg food from outside too.

Overall the stay was great. Very reasonably priced and very memorable. Thank you Rajeev and Rupashree.

Excellent host, good ambience in the cottage, supportive staff. I think it’s very reasonable considering the space it offers. We had wonderful traditional breakfast on all days which would be loved by travelers who enjoy local delicacies. The location of the Vedic village is central and helps you to access market, beach and city quite comfortably.

We visited Gokarn for Mahashiratri and chanced upon this place while scouting a stay.. What a discovery it turned out to be!
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one of which is air-conditioned. The rooms and the entire house is built in rustic style but provides all the modern comforts, including a small swimming pool. They served us food for dinner at very short notice which was quite enjoyable. Rajeev and his wife are very welcoming and excellent hosts. He maintains a small museum within his abode, that left us awe-struck. His passion and hard work deserves nothing but 7 stars.

We were 4 people and we stayed for two nights. We had a very comfortable stay. There is solar power backup for fans, lights, and geysers. We can opt for meals at 250rs per person (breakfast is complimentary). I'd suggest anyone who decides to stay here to opt for this meal plan and not go for outside food. The food was very hygienic and we got to try many local delicacies. Another highlight is the personal museum that the host created as a hobby. The host, Mr.Rajeev, was very knowledgeable about all things local, be it cuisine, history, or science. With his explanations and in-depth knowledge, he'd make you feel you have learned so much after touring his museum. If you are not rigid about your itinerary, I'd recommend you discuss with him how you can utilize your time, and then plan the itinerary accordingly.

When we checked in at Vedic Village, we entered our home away from home! Rajeev Bailkeri and his wife Roopashree made us feel so welcome that it was an instant hit! The cottages are very comfortable, swimming pool which is inside the cottage is clean and well maintained and the small garden around depicts a theme from the past amidst bonsai trees!

I requested for typical satvik food of Gokarna and Rajeev went out of the way to feed us the choicest malanad dishes. We were guided to temple, beaches and places of proud Karnataka history.

At every point we felt at home and we plan to visit this homestay again and again. There is no TV in the cottage and one just relaxes amidst the sound of chirping birds. If you are looking for comfort and peace, this is the place for you! Senior citizens as well as youngsters will love this place!

This was our second visit to Gokarna and we decided to stay at Rajeev's place again.

Rajeev hosted us earlier as well and we stayed in his own house that time as vedic village was not ready. We enjoyed the hospitality so much that when we visited Gokarna again this Dec, decided to stay there only.

This time, we stayed in one of the cottage of Vedic village. It is with a small pool and two big size rooms having more than enough space for a family of 4.
Kids loved the pool very much.
The place was neat and clean.

The food served by Rajeev and family is too good, and you can actually ask them to prepare your choice in advance.

It was a great visit, we wish to come back and stay again at this place in future.

Thanks Rajeev for the experience.

We had a great time with family at Vedic Village. Rajeev sir who is the host is just phenomenal!

When I called the Vedic Village contact, the host who is Rajeev sir was very generous to block the place till I arrive and has invited me to check the place before confirming from my side. I was impressed with Rajeev sir before even we arrived at the Vedic Village.

Vedic Village is just amazing in hospitality, cleanliness, amazing architecture, the right information, breakfast/lunch was yummy and it's an experience itself to try authentic healthy vegetarian meals at Vedic Village. Kids enjoyed the private squash pool.

Easy access to the town center, temple, and beaches. It was the right decision to choose this place rather than a hotel/resort. I recommend Vedic Village.

Welcoming you with refreshing ginger lime juice, Rajiv is just the best host you could meet. With an infinite knowledge of the intricate culture, history and traditions of Gokarna and Karnataka, you will never spend a boring minute staying at the Vedic Village. The villa itself is no less than a 5 star hotel at the most affordable price. There is a pristine blue pool which is so inviting it's very hard to resist, there are two rooms on two floors with beautiful furnishing and soft beds to help you sleep like a baby.
The best thing I liked about this place was the efficiency and convenience. There are cupboards full of utensils, first aid, small necessities like toothpaste and soap, a gas and everything else you could ask for. Midnight maggi on a vacation with your friends is the most satisfying thing.
I love traveling and it was tough for me these two years of the pandemic and finally coming to this place made it the perfect comeback to the travel life.
