We had an amazing experience at Punta Faro!!!! The boat ride was long but we saw many beautiful scenes on the way to Isla Mucura. The staff was attentive provided exceptional service. It helps tremendously if you speak Spanish. However, there are many on staff who understand English. The atmosphere so is peaceful and tranquil that you will disconnect from...

Punta Faro is a family run resort. And while it has all the elements of what could be a very high end location, part of the idealism here is that it isn't. So you can relax, disconnect and simply just enjoy. The rooms with a water view are quite large and were perfect for our family. The bathroom decor was...

One of the best places in the world to disconnect, relax and enjoy. The resort and island are gorgeous, accommodations have a simple elegance, food is good, staff is charming. The sand, water, and winds caress you. We will go back as soon as we can.

We (a young couple) had a great time at Punta Faro. It was fun, relaxing, easygoing, and a highlight of our trip to Colombia. The beach was nice, the staff friendly and warm, the food and drinks delicious, and the room comfortable. Extra credit for having a really great on-site nurse who patched up some minor injuries. If you're looking...

Stayed for three nights in sea view accommodation. Should have stayed longer. Beautiful surroundings on a tropical island. The warmth of the staff equalled the warmth of the temperatures. V. comfortable bed. Plentiful hot water for shower. Excellent food. Would definitely return.

+++ - Beautiful Island ---- - boring food - old used hotel rooms also suites (from 90s) - additional pay for non alcoholic drinks (e.g. Cola) - to expensive for this service and quality level Time for refresh in all cases (service, food, room)

On the plus side, the rooms are excellently appointed. Good Bed, TV, wifi, lovely seating area, hammocks, good decor. The public seating areas are copious and excellent around a good beach area. It is very quiet ...with no hustlers. Perfect for a beach/sunworshipper to grill in peace well removed from the world. The island is a small sand bar which is a...

I cannot say enough how gorgeous this resort is! The property is beautiful. The staff is wonderful. It's 2 hours by boat from Cartagena and you certainly feels worlds away. We kept reading reviews about the food being OK, we thought the food was delicious! Its buffet style with a variety, but yet gives you some good ole Colombian home...
