We stayed in a separate double room with shared kitchen/bath. Room was very clean and quiet. Shared bathrooms and kitchen get VERY crowded. One shared bathroom is for a large number of travelers so was cleanish, but very used. Shared kitchen is quite busy at meal times.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here and we was originally going to stay here for 3 nights but changed to 1 night because of the following. We was after a double room being a couple, coming from Queenstown sharing a bunk for a week In a 12 bed dorm we was told this was the place to chill out and...

Nice place, very tidy. Wifi is not free as they say in the website but is not expensive... We paid $5 for 1G. Amazing view to the lake! Shared bathroom but super clean! Next to Tekapo springs. Heater in the room is great and we were warm all night... The rooms are small but cozy! I would come back for...

The hotel looked really good nice and clean. The location is great and you can see amazing stars in the sky at night . The check in service was very good and helpful. Unlucky, 2 busses with European 16 year old Teenager arrived. The hotel was packed und full. The biggest problem in this hostel is that you hear everything...

We stayed in a private double room, which was actually a tiny cabin with a double bed in, and that's it! The cabin is separate to the main building, meaning you have to walk outside to go back inside to use the bathroom or any other facilities. The view from the cabin was beautiful, but unfortunately this was the only...

Stayed one night here in the lakefront lodge backpackers. Firstly, the process of checking in, although smooth and organised, felt very impersonal and robotic, which I didn't like. Then we arrived at the backpackers lodge, which is located right on the lakefront and a stones throw away from the tekapo springs which is great. It is also within walkable distance...

We stayed there for one night and it was more than enough. We stayed in a room for 6 people. It was alright. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the city center. A problem is that wifi is not free. By the way, the night sky and the stars there are amazing. Just walk to the lake and...

My wife an I stayed here for a couple of nights and found it to be a good hostel, with clean well maintained facilities. The view from the common room is very good, and it is right on the lake front. The kitchen and BBQ area is well equipped and in good order, and overall the hostel is very clean.

This lodge is absolute rubbish. We stayed one night and left for mount cook village in the morning with the promise of a member of staff reserving two rooms for us if they became available in a days time, as it was currently fully booked. This reservation obviously never went through as we found out others had taken our promised beds...

Location is great, rigth in front of Lake Tekapo and 10 min walking to town centre. The facilities and bedroom are clean and shower is good (hot water and water pressure). Reception is far from the rooms. Bathroom doesn't have heater and it's cold inside. The bedroom is very noisy, the walls seem to not block any sound from outside.

“If you choose a dorm room facing the lake, you also face onto the communal BBQ area (I'm glad we didn't get this room). The rooms which don't face the lake are more private. Choose a dorm FAR from the squeaky slamming doors which lead from the bedrooms corridor to the living areas.”
