We had a wonderful holiday at Posada Olivar. Jose was an excellent host. He bent over backwards to accomodate our requests. He is well connected with local tour guides and gladly arranges activities for his guests. His Posada is clean and comfortable. The pool is refreshing after a hot day sightseeing. His staff is gracious and warm. The breakfasts were...

We stayed at Posada Olivar for 3 nights while we were visiting Mendoza's beautiful vineyards and the Andes. Jose welcomed us warmly, provided us with a map of the charming town of Chacras de Coria, made lunch reservations for us at the nearby vineyard at Clos de Chacra, and arranged for us to rent bikes to visit some neighboring wineries...

This was such a wonderful stay for a bed & breakfast. We reviewed so many places to see where we wanted to stay in Mendoza, and I think we just ultimately, got very lucky with our decision about Posada. Once you arrive, you immediately are greeted and welcomed! They make you feel at home, very cozy and very very friendly...

We stayed at Posada Olivar for 5 days and had a wonderful time. The house and grounds around it were beautiful and our room was very spacious. The Posada is quiet, but also very close to the town center, a couple excellent restaurants, the Clos de Chacras winery (highly recommended for lunch), and the Nuss bakery (the alfajores are amazing...

Posada Olivar was the highlight of our 2 week holiday. Jose was the perfect host and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable - even to the extent of driving us into town to help us get a refund on our bus tickets (we missed the bus). The Posada itself is very peaceful and the grounds are...

My wife and I stayed at Posada Olivar last week and loved every minute of it. Our room was large, and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet, and we enjoyed relaxing with a bottle of wine on the patio outside our room. We enjoyed breakfast every day, great coffee, orange juice and a wide assortment of breads, pastries...

There is not much more that I can add to the previous reviews, as they are very descriptive, detailed and very true to our own experience at the posada. I would like to say that Jose is a wonderful host - courteous, friendly, polite, knowledgeable, always willing to help and completely unobtrusive. The entire experience was absolutely incredible. And homemade...

We stayed in Posada Olivar for 4 nights and totally enjoyed this relaxing get-away in a truly welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. Jose Luis was the perfect host and more than generous in recommending restuarants, booking wine tours, arranging taxis and his time in just chatting and educating us about Mendoza. As mentioned in other reviews, Olivar is situated in the...

I stayed in Posada Olivar for 2 nights with my husband, father, stepmother, and their 2 teenage sons. The accommodation was booked as part of a package through Grapevine wine tours (also highly recommended), and I selected Posada Olivar specifically based upon the fact that we could book a quadruple room, and that it was located in Chacras de Coria,...

This is the most wonderful B&B experience we have had in our 15 years of travel. I should not be telling everyone about this place because we would like to keep it to ourselves ;-). Location - 20 minutes from Mendoza, very close to the wine region. As a matter of fact, one can walk to a winery from this...

“The posada has a total of 5 or 6 rooms, most of which are on the ground floor with a large patio with a lovely seating area directly facing the garden and a swimming pool. We stayed in one of the middle rooms and it was quiet, fresh and nice to socialise with other guests enjoying the patio. The room was large and spacious enough to fit 3 girls and all our suitcases with a king (and I mean KING) size bed and a single bed, big bathroom and a closet. Jose even offered to add another bed but there was no need. No A/C but there was no need for it even in the middle of the summer as the room never got hot and the night breeze was so refreshing.”
