Having recently moved to the beautiful town of Bridgnorth, I tried the Bear on a Saturday night after recommendation of a local. The pub has a fabulous range of Ales and Lagers and real ales. There was a cracking live band on (Free to enter), I have paid for bands nowhere near as good. The landlord and Landlady were very...

Good live music venue at weekend and friendly locals and owners but if you don't want to be part of the party until late then probably best to be elsewhere. Check in after 4pm and checkout at 10am (and no point trying to sleep till after midnight) No breakfast available (although as others have stated their website lists the rooms...

Some what disappointing, despite the web site stating the price includes breakfast, the Bear doesn't serve any breakfast. The owners stated the web site was still to be up dated! The room could have been cleaner, surfaces could have been cleaner. There was dust on picture and mirror frames as well as dust on some of the bath room skirting boards....

The owner said that she'd spent ages cleaning, which we thought was great! We were also told that there was NO breakfast - we thought there would be as...

Great location. Fab entertainment. Nice room. Stated B & B on website but on arrival we asked but we're informed breakfast not available. Bar staff charging different prices for same drinks. Not worth £80 a night

A really first rate pub offering excellent Tribute and Three Tons Beer. Popular with young and not so young customers this place is managed by friendly, approachable landlords. A wide range of music is offered in one bar and great enjoyment is offered to all. A truly great pub to visit and savour in Bridgnorth. Enjoy.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Bear Inn is situated in the High Town of Bridgnorth and is metres away from the town centre. Go under the Northgate Arch and it is the characterful black and white building on your left. When deciding whether to book a stay at The Bear Inn please consider the following: From Sunday night to Thursday afternoon the Bear Inn is perfect for a quiet, romantic break, however, from Thursday evening it becomes one of the busiest and liveliest venues in town. As we want you to enjoy yourself and have a break to remember please book from Thursday only if you want a lively weekend. The Bear is a charming and unique former coaching inn which is steeped in history. Our accommodation is very tastefully decorated, homely and comfortable. Four of our rooms are on the first floor of the building and our fifth, The Brewhouse, is situated on ground level. You will be provided with tea and coffee facilities, designer toiletries and a towel set each. ... more   less
