Just had another lovely meal at The Carnforth Hotel. Don't be put off by the dated decor,step inside and enjoy well home cooked food at very reasonable prices . 2 course Sunday lunch for £8.50.Try the Bakewell tart or Belgium cheesecake. Right beside the hotel. We stopped here for lunch after a long drive and once we were seated the lady behind the bar quickly came and took our orders. Pleasant old fashioned interior which was a bit dark gave a certain olde worldie feel to this place. However the hot food was modern and went down very well. Good choice...

Looked nice on the outside & had parking available. Very dated inside. The food was ok, chips were not great. Husband had chicken tikki which was a large portion & looked nice. Staff were friendly. Very reasonable prices & they had free wifi.
