We stayed here on a cycling tour and would recommend it. It is very quirky but nice with its clear flooring on the upper floors(very unusual!) staff exceptionally helpful and keen to help when the translations were difficult. It was quite a walk into the town so we ate in the hotel restaurant, which was very good and reasonably priced,...

We stayed here on the last 2 nights of our holiday. The room was large and comfortable with a good supply of toiletries and necessities in the bathroom. The reception staff spoke English, although it was a little more difficult in the restaurant. On our first evening we followed the recommendation of the waiter, my husband wanted vegetarian and we...

Once disembarked from the ferry this hotel is a twenty minute car journey round the bay. Looks quaint from the outside but once inside you look up at glass mezzanine walkways to the rooms which is breathtaking. The reception was small but welcoming, the decor in Spanish style. Although some staff had difficulty in conversing they did their best and some...

Friendly efficient staff, clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast buffet. Relaxed atmosphere throughout hotel. Cafeteria offers good value snacks and drinks but restaurant menu lacked variety. Somo beach is first class and less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Cheap and frequent passenger ferry to Santander city. Good base to tour Cantabria. Travelled with my wife in late August...

They tell you it is a short walk through the woods to the beach. It is more like challenge to see if you a physically up to climbing over tree roots, jumping across holes in the trail and then when you think you are at the end of the trail. You are, it drops down so severely we couldn't go...

Managed to get 2 nights here at short notice, after a nearby place had proved a disaster. Very friendly staff, nice room, easy parking, quiet and a great breakfast. Hotel also has a lovely covered conservatory where you can enjoy a glass of wine. Would give the hotel 5 stars but, whilst it was not a problem for us, it...

From the time we arrived until our departure, four weeks later, the hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. It would be invidious to single out any particular person since all the staff were welcoming and cheery, however the bar and restaurant staff went 'the extra mile' to provide a great experience....

We stayed at this Hotel for 26 nights June/July, Myself, Partner and Disabled Mum. We had such a wonderful time. The owner must be very proud to have such an efficient, loyal and friendly team working at the Hotel. It is a charming, small Hotel, extremely clean (the ladies work very hard) and lovely, quirky artefacts throughout the hotel. Everyone,...

Lovely 4 start Hotel. Excellent all-round. Walk straight across the road over the dunes to beach. Beware it is a steep walk back. Walk left out of the hotel to Somo and beach or walk right to Loredo and beach also cheap and cheerful tapas bars especially KisKilla at the end of the road past the church. The hotel has...
