We have just returned from a fabulous ski trip to Formigal. Our party was 8 adults and 2 children. Natasha and her family at Hotel Tirol were outstanding hosts.Vera the dog and Penelope the cat made the family owned hotel even more homely (as long as you like pets). The hotel is clean, comfortable and amazing value for money. Being Londoners... More

This is a simple clean and friendly hotel. Spanish is the first language but we always found someone on reception to speak English. We had no problem booking and the room we were given is what we had requested. The twin bed room was basic. Beds relatively narrow (for you Americans do not expect twin queen size beds here, these... Excellent friendly family hotel with great staff, quiet and clean rooms and a very rich and yummy breakfast. This hotel was a great value and very conveniently located in the center of Formigal, close to restaurants and the bus to go to the ski lifts. In the lobby, there is a ski locker room for storing equipment, and there is... More

Hotel Tirol is a fine family hotel that provides excellent value for money in Formigal. There is a very homely bar and salon with a terrace that has splendid views across the ski resort and down the valley towards Panticosa. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and in keeping with the requirements of a ski resort. The front rooms... More

We stayed at the Hotel Tirol, a basic 2 star which was adequate. Plenty free parking on both sides of the hotel. Free wifi which only worked on the ground floor, despite several attempts by the owner to get it to work upstairs. We had seen a rate on booking.com for 55 euros per night but were told that the... Our experience was almost without snow........ but fortunately the hotel is very nice, close to the restaurants, rental ski and bus for ski stations. The staff is really kind and available for needs. Breakfast good.

With the Tirol, what you see is what you get. It doesn't pretend to be more than what it says it is; a decent, clean, family-run hotel smack-dab in the middle of the Formigal 'urbanizacion' about 1km from the lifts. If you're looking for a fancy, luxurious room after a day of skiing, look elsewhere. If all you need is... More

“We had room 304 which was a quad room. I think it was the largest of the family rooms. There was plenty of space and the bathroom was a decent size. Towels and bed linen spotlessly clean and fresh every day. Being at the end of the corridor there was little noise from people going to an from there rooms.”
