Our latest visit to Villa San lucchese was in September and this time, we brought a gang! It was lovely as always to be welcomed back, and we noticed some renovations had been done since our last stay. There were also some changes to the menu, which included the now signature dish of risotto served in a wheel of parmesan...

We had a good stay in Villa San Lucchese : it has been a great location : nice palazzo , beautyfull gardens but it needs to be refreshed .It looks a bit old .We met people who came here several years again and said they wouldn't come back anymore because it isn't anymore like before . It's a pity because...

We booked a family room for 9 nights based on great Trip Advisor reviews and a central location for day trips in Tuscany. Our initial impression when we arrived was not great, as we were given a lesser room than that booked in the older less desirable area of the hotel. The manager apologized and said they had made a...

We stayed at this beautiful villa for two nights during our Nat Geo adventures in Tuscany hiking tour. Our room was very large, comfortable and very clean. The grounds of the villa are absolutely gorgeous, with flowers and quiet clean pool and lounge chairs. Our only regret was being too busy hiking to use any of the facilities! Breakfast both...

Overall, awesome resort, wouldn't hesitate to book in a heartbeat. Service and location would make me book this place again, no question. Hotel staff were great in booking wineries in the tuscany/chianti region. Recommended some good spots to check out since we had our own car (Monsanto was highly recommended tour for $20E). Breakfast was excellent. Asked for omelets and...

I would highly recommend this Villa to anyone. It is centrally located in Tuscany and accessible by train or bus if you are not driving. The staff were outstanding and very accommodating. They were so welcoming. They picked us up at the train station, arranged for two winery tours and van transportation to cities nearby so we could go sight...

I am delighted to report that this hotel continues to provide outstanding quality and service. If there is a better haven of peace, tranquility and service anywhere else, not just in Italy but the whole of Europe, I would be extremely surprised. If you're thinking of visiting Tuscany, either to tour or crash out, this is definitely the hotel for...

My family and I (2 adults, 2 children – 13yrs old) have just come back from a fantastic week’s stay at Hotel San Lucchese. We booked on the basis of excellent reviews and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is 1 mile outside Poggibonsi (which we didn’t go into) so is excellently placed for San Gimignano (15 minutes), Siena (30...

Family run resort on the hill in Poggibonsi! Marco and his team are great hosts. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The internet is not great. Breakfast was really good! They have a great pool area! The restaurant was very good with excellent food at very reasonable prices - it also has panoramic views of the surrounding country! Cannot recommend...

After a deep review, we decided to choose this hotel, to become our operational basis for our car trip to Tuscany. Close to the third main Tuscan areas: Firenze, Siena and the south (Montepulciano and Pienza), this hotel is also a hidden gem. First of all, necessary to remark the excellent service, mainly by Lorenzo. He's always there, with his...
