This was our third time in Fonte Bertusi, and its renovation was a big surprise for us. Eduardo, Andrea and Manuela did their very best and now the gardens and the surrounding of the property look totally new. There’s also a new library building (open 24/7), in which you can relax, read art books, surf on the web etc. Manuela...

Apartment is clean and with a fully equipped kitchen which makes cooking easy. Peaceful and owners are very friendly and helpful. Barley capuccino at breakfast is fantastic. Highly recommended as we have fond memories of this place.

We come already many years to the Fonte Bertusi. If you are looking for a quiet, peacefull spot, for an incredible view over the Tuscan landscape, from Montalcino to the Monte Amiata, for an appartment in real Tuscan-style, then you are here on the right plac. Plus ... an excellent breakfast and, because father and son Pasano are artists, you...

We look at the pictures we took at Fonte Bertusi all the time, and dream about a return visit. We stayed at Fonte Bertusi for two nights in late May with our two college-age daughters. We had a fantastic time. The setting is so peaceful, with sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside, comfortable accommodations, and pastoral grounds. We stayed in...

I took my two young children (1 and 3), my parents, my mother in law, and my sister's family to Fonte Bertusi for two weeks at ther beginning of August. The best man from our wedding and his family also joined also with young children (5, 2 and 6 months). This is the most amazing place for a family. You...

How lucky we feel we have been to have found Fonte Bertusi!. We stayed for a week in July in Il Cortile and left all our worries behind, allowing ourselves to be transported into another world, close to nature, art, peace and nurture. We enjoyed all the beautiful, thought provoking art, the lovely swimming pool, all the beautiful and varied...

One of those magic places you can really call "home" if not even better than home! We lost the count of how many times we've been there over the years. We keep going back over and over again, this year 3 times already and we already booked a week in May next year, when they will launch their first "in...

Fonte Bertusi was a highlight of our stay in Italy. For our 11-year-old, it is the first place he talks about when people ask about a highlight of his trip, with the kittens as a special part of that. Lovely apartment and pool, interesting sculptures, beautiful gardens with water lilies and a bocce course - and amazing breakfast with the...

We stayed for three nights and I can't recommend it enough! Owners are fantastic and very helpful, breakfast is excellent, rooms are clean, spacious, and have a well stocked kitchen. The countryside surrounding is incredibly picturesque and it's not far to go to Pienza or San Quirico (assuming you have a car). Although there's no restaurant on site, the place...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fonte Bertusi: There is no place more imaginary, and so more real, than this. You'll be greeted, upon arrival at Fonte Bertusi, by a great, colourful rooster in his cage. And it's like the heralding of a new day. Strolling around the grounds you'll find strange objects, like a huge set of eyes that peer out from the earth, a chair so high up that even on tiptoes you won't get a seat (it's good for higher thoughts though), or a dragon that time has transformed into a wagon... or vice versa. Encounters may be amusing for some, they may be magical or artistic for others and for others still, they relax the mind by bringing into perspective one's conscience and mankind's place in the world. ... more   less
