If you are traveling in Umbria or Tuscany do yourself an enormous favor and plan a stay at the Palazzo Brandano. You will not be disappointed. I have a house in Italy quite a distance away from Petroio, but I always make the long drive for at least one meal there during my spring and autumn stays . Ousmane, the...

Lovely rooms and bathrooms, extra clean and very comfortable. The stay was extra special thanks to Ousmane who made us feel at home. We had our do with us and he was very welcoming and thoughtful even with the dog !

Very comfortable accommodations. Excellent food and service. Great location in the Tuscan hills. Ousmane, the manager, made our stay memorable. This included arranging personal tours, reservations and escorting us to and from our destinations. We felt like family.

We had an amazing stay at the Palazzo Brandano! Ousmane treated us like family and planned unique, special, once in a lifetime experiences for us. Typically, we do a ton a research prior to vacationing, but based on everything we heard about Ousmane and the Palazzo Brandano we left our plans in Ousmane's hands. This was the best decision we...

An ambiance of elegance and graciousness welcomes you, with the feeling of being at home. That is Palazzo Brandano. The amenities, the décor, the staff and the surroundings are all outstanding. Ousmane, the host/proprietor/concierge, who speaks fluent English, enjoys learning his guests' interests. His local knowledge of Tuscany then becomes the key to experiences one might not find otherwise. Hearing...

Ousmane was absolutely fantastic.. he met us in a downpour, told us where to park and made us a fine welcome drink and cake. he upgraded our room as they were not too busy and was great company. he helped with meal choices that we would not have considered and gave us good advice on where to go. The whole...

We arrived late afternoon knowing nothing about Petroio. This is a small medieval ruin town. Palazzo Brandano is the action. Frankly I was worried. The town is very small, the Palazzo was small. But, we were shown to a special large room. Fabulous view. A glass of wine on the terrace made it much better. A while after enjoying the...

This was our second visit to Palazzo Brandano. The first time on our 25th Anniversary in 2012 and we wished we could bring all 4 of our kids with us to experience this amazing jewel we found in Palazzo Brandano. We did it! This July, we not only brought all four of our kids, and a boyfriend, but also my...

My wife and I stayed here only two nights but were treated like old family. Ousmane was like my older brother suggesting things to do and places to see. We regrettably did not have a rental car but Ousmane provided transportation to a couple of small local villages for an excellent taste of Tuscany! He also set up a very...

My girlfriend and I booked a stay at Palazzo Brandano after reading some reviews online, and wow - what an amazing decision. The Palazzo itself is located about 20 minutes off the A1 highway in the small town of Petroio - about 15 minutes from Pienza and 25 minutes from Montepulciano. We loved the fact that the hotel was in...
