Our family enjoyed a relaxing 4 days in Villa Rosalena. The setting was was beautiful and Rod our host made us feel really at home and does a great breakfast! The Villa was beautifully renovated and was spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend Villa Rosalena to families or couples looking for a quiet retreat.
Being here is like being at your second home. It's close to Bagni di Lucca and provides easy access to most of the small towns in the area. The view from the room is beautiful and the breakfast is ample. Owner Rod is great and fun to talk with.
We were recommended to stay at Villa Rosalena as we were attending a wedding 10 min away from there. Rod was very welcoming and was able to grant our early checkin request. Rod went our of his way to ensure our stay was perfect and we must say, it was perfect. We had a gorgeous, spacious and extremely clean room with a lovely view. The breakfast was perfect with a lot of variety and Rod even had gluten free bread available as I mentioned I was gluten intolerant. I was happy to just eat fruit and there were so many options I could have like, prosciutto, cheese, yoghurt and my partner and sister had tarts, cereals, croissants, juices, coffee, tea. The wifi was strong to assist us with our next set of travel plans and Rod had provided us with local information and maps. He even…
Stayed in Villa Rosalena with friends in June. The rooms were lovely, very clean and spacious and the view from 2 of the bedrooms down the valley were absolutely breathtaking. We spent a lot of our time on the loggia. It was a great place to relax. The pool was fine but attracted a lot of insects. Rod the owner was very helpful. He helped us with directions and even came along with paperwork when we expressed an interest in some places to visit. He was really friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I would definitely recommend this villa but it is not suitable for those with mobility issues because there are a lot of steps.
A small B&B in the most beautiful environment. We stayed in the Pannacotta room, a simply decored but spacious room with a stunning view over the river. The owner was extremely helpful and dedicated, providing 5-star service. A fresh breakfast was included, on the beautiful veranda if you would like. We choose this place for our trip based on the reviews here on Tripadvisor, and couldn't agree more with all the positive comments.
An excellent location for getting to know the area of Bagni di Lucca and surrounds. Rod was extremely friendly and helpful.
The date of this review is not correct, but I wanted to review this place since it was one of my favorites and I still want to go back. The beds were so comfortable and the dinner we had on the loggia our last night was one of the best meals of my life - just more food than I could stuff in. I highly recommend this place!!
If you like "off the beaten track" you will love it here. The rustic charm of the Tuscan countryside is reflected in this lovely villa nested on a hillside overlooking the most spectacular views. We stayed 3 nights at Villa Rosalena and we didn't even mind that we had one rainy day. It gave us an excuse to stay in the luxuriously comfortable bed and enjoy the views and some coffee or enjoy some local wine and cheese on the covered patio. I would not hesitate to go back.
Villa Rosalina is set in the beautiful old spa town of Bagni di Lucca. The area is mountainous so there are stunning views where ever you drive. Delicious traditional Tuscan food is easy to find. Rod the owner could not be more helpful with advice on what to see and where to eat. Highly recommend a visit.
We stayed at Villa Rosalena in February for 6 nights and we loved it. Very comfortable bed (we were in the chocolate room) the French window in our room was such an added bonus to see the beautiful view while in bed. Lovely continental breakfast prepared by Rod the owners. The kitchen in the Villa is available and well stacked with all you need to cook. Bagni di Lucca is a very small town with not much to do and see (except for the nice town spa - terme) but it is 30-40 min away by car to all main cities in Tuscany. Rod the owner was more then helpful with everything we needed / wanted to know. We especially enjoyed the open fireplace in the living room that Rod got going every night also there is a large DVD library so we cuddled and watched films when it was raining outside.…
