We stayed several nights in this 17th century former palace that has been renovated with taste. Their marble floor is still original and made from the nearby Carrara marble. The salty swimming pool is large with a nice wooden deck around and comfortable sun beds. The views on the mountains are great and the location superb to check out the many outdoor activities (rafting, canyoning, zip lining), the spas. Also Puccini used to stay here and composed from the breakfast room. A lovely place full of history and the kindest staff! Recommended big time!

I stayed here twice, within a few weeks of each other. The hotel is located nicely and is within walking distance of many restaurants and local bars. I found the staff friendly, including the owner, Robertbo. The staff were very attentive and always made sure there were drinks and snacks on offer when sitting in the garden area or around the pool.
The grounds of the hotel were really looked after, along with a decent-sized pool and jacuzzi with loungers. Breakfast in the mornings was served outside, and there was plenty to have, along with pasties, mixed breads, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, meats (ham, etc.), cheeses, tomatoes, etc. Fresh coffees and juices—I was never disappointed.

The rooms were large and comfortable, along with air conditioning for those days when it was too hot.

I'm looking forward to my next stay

An ideal hotel in the centre of this small town, close to cafes, restaurants and shops. Breakfast served on the shady terrace with a good variety of food and lovely cakes. Beautiful thermal water pool, very friendly and helpful owner, and tastefully decorated rooms in typical Tuscan style, some with balcony. Stayed for a week in searing heat. Couldn't fault it!

The hotel, dating back to 1790, is situated in a center of Bagni di Lucca. I spent 3 winter nights there. My room was big and tidy. The staff (Roberto!) was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rich and would have satisfied all tastes.
I can imagine how beautiful this hotel is in summer!

Stayed at this hotel for a weekend with my husband. We were a part of a bigger group staying here. The hotel have a great location in Bagni di Lucca. Close to several stores and at least two restaurants. I really love Italy and its atmosphere and this hotel was no exception. This hotel is old fashion, and had a lot of history. But it have everything we needed for our stay.

We stayed in a big bedroom with a small bathroom. The negativ things was it was a bit cold in the room and we could hear other guests at night and cars driving by outside.

Outside of the hotel they had a garden, a swimming pool and a small pool.

Breakfast was okey, typical Italian. The people working here did not speak much english, but we worked it out with a bit body language

I would stay here again!

Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Only marked as 3 star but more like a 4 star. Historic building full of atmosphere and great pool next to river. Near excellent restaurants. Free parking. Definately recommend staying here. My wife loved the pool and I could go hiking in the mountains nearby!!! very friendly staff.

We had booked a family room with babycot. When we arrived there where no babycot and the receptonist was not very helpful. After insisting over and over again she finally found a babycot for us. When we came to the room there where not towels for everyone. The towels where like big thin kithentowels. Never seen that in a hotel before. After this the staff was very nice. The room was not cleaned properly and the bathroom had'nt been cleaned properly in a long time. See pictures. The pool was very nice and the outdoor area for breakfast was also nice. I found it strange that they did not have a babychair when having breakfast.

We recently (July 2006) stayed at the Hotel Regina Park, in the beautiful village of Bagni di Lucca. The accomodation was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, going out of their way to help us with everything we needed. The location was perfect being right next to the quaint stores and coffee shops/bars.
The weather was very hot and it was so nice to come home and have a swim in the pool and jacuzzi.
We spent our afternoons and evenings at the Hotel Corona, which is about 1 mile away, where we attended Cooking School at the Alberto Corona Ristorante. Roberto Marino-Merlot, owner of both hotels and the restaurant was exceptionally hospitable, with our accomodation and every other bit of information we needed and was a great teacher in the kitchen, along with his chef, Alessandro (we all loved him to bits!). We cooked in the afternoon and then came back in the evening and had "our" dinner on the pretty terrace overlooking the river. Roberto also was excellent at recommending different Italian wines to try with our various dishes that we made.
There were 7 of us girls, who all love to cook, and we thoroughly enjoyed our "experience of a lifetime", coming home with much enthusiasm, new recipes and wonderful memories.
It is top of my list to return to............Tuscany......ahhhhh!!!!!!!

A dream trip come true.
Three generations from South Africa and the USA travelled to the quaint village of Bagni di Lucca to do a Tuscan Cooking course and to see the gorgeous Tuscan countryside.
Our accomodation was booked by the cooking school at the typically Tuscan Hotel Park Regina, a well run small family hotel. Cooking classes were held at the sister hotel Albergo Restaurant Corona and were wonderful. The food and setting of this restaurant is highly recommended. Chef Allessandro is very talented and runs a good kitchen.

Roberto, the manager of both hotels made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble! The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The rooms were clean and very comfortable.
The Park Regina has the bonus of an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, which was just what we needed in the sweltering heat. The Tuscan Gardens are beautiful and well maintained.

All seven of us were thrilled with our accomdation, with the lovely breakfast offered each morning, with the central location of the hotel and with the courteous and friendly manner of the staff.
Will definately stay there on our next visit!

We have used Park Hotel Regina for two years to house our 12 students who come to study art for 8 days in the neighboring village of Vitiana. The hotel is beautifully situated in the town of Bagni di Lucca, a small town outside of the larger city Lucca.
It is a beautiful town without the tourists and you really get a sense of a real Tuscan town.
The hotel owner, Roberto, along with his excellent staff will help with all your concerns and needs. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the breakfast abundant, and the pool is a nice added touch. They have internet access and are very flexible. We were able to use their lovely grounds for our workshops when needed. We will continue to use this hotel for any of our bookings in the future.
They also have a sister hotel, The Coronado Hotel which has a wonderful restaurant on the premises with traditional Tuscan fare with a gourmet flair.
