Stayed at this hotel for a weekend with my husband. We were a part of a bigger group staying here. The hotel have a great location in Bagni di Lucca. Close to several stores and at least two restaurants. I really love Italy and its atmosphere and this hotel was no exception. This hotel is old fashion, and had a lot of history. But it have everything we needed for our stay. We stayed in a big bedroom with a small bathroom. The negativ things was it was a bit cold in the room and we could hear other guests at night and cars driving by outside. Outside of the hotel they had a garden, a swimming pool and a small pool. Breakfast was okey, typical Italian. The people working here did not speak much english, but we worked it out with a bit body language I would stay here again!

The hotel, dating back to 1790, is situated in a center of Bagni di Lucca. I spent 3 winter nights there. My room was big and tidy. The staff (Roberto!) was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was rich and would have satisfied all tastes. I can imagine how beautiful this hotel is in summer!

We stayed several nights in this 17th century former palace that has been renovated with taste. Their marble floor is still original and made from the nearby Carrara marble. The salty swimming pool is large with a nice wooden deck around and comfortable sun beds. The views on the mountains are great and the location superb to check out the many outdoor activities (rafting, canyoning, zip lining), the spas. Also Puccini used to stay here and composed from the breakfast room. A lovely place full of history and the kindest staff! Recommended big time!

We have been to this hotel on many occasions and always enjoys coming back. This time was no exception. The rooms had been slightly updated (TVs) and the breakfast now offered a hot savoury option. The grounds are beautiful and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning

We stopped at the hotel for coffee and ended up staying all day! The welcoming staff brought delicious cake with our coffees and then showed us the beautiful salt water pool in the manicured garden. This lovely pool, with sun beds and parasols, does not contain any chlorine but is kept perfectly clean by the salt water. Highlight of Bagni di Lucca!

Hotel building a bit old fashioned. Lift holds four – just. Parking close by. Super cool pool with lots of money spent on it successfully to make it smart. Friendly staff. When we were in the hot tub, the manager dashed around to get it working. Not much information in the room - no hotel room book. I am astonished that the hotel sees fit to propose a charge of E2 per hour for wi-fi. Clean. Roadside facing room noisy with traffic. Aircon in lobby but absent from rooms. Shower drips, shower cabinet leaks, light in bathroom does not work. R307

We went to this hotel a bit desperate to find a hotel. Wish we had looked more first. The first place that was offered to us was an apartment just up the hill. I suspect it belonged to him privately and he thought he could make a bit of money on the side. It wasn’t suitable for me as I don’t walk well and it was up hill. I looked at booking.com and saw that a room in the hotel was cheaper than he had quoted to us. When I pointed this out to him, he said oh sorry I must have made a mistake. We took the room at the lower rate. The room that was left was on the top floor, roadside. The traffic noise was awful even in the night. No air con at all, it was so hot, we cohldn’t sleep. The people who keep this place going are the lovely lady staff, always smiling nothing to much trouble and they work hard. The breakfasts were boring and mostly the same everyday. The boss, I found a bit strange and didn’t know whether I could trust him.

Family of three, we stayed for three nights in July and had a lovely time. We upgraded to a park-side room which is well worthwhile as it cuts out noise from the street, although we didn't really think this would have been a major issue for us. Room was sizeable and comfortable throughout, although we did have an adjoining door to next apartment (locked). There is no A/C, but being a large and old building it was a pleasant temperature and we wouldn't have used A/C if it had been available. Pool was saline and lovely to cool off in, with nice sun-loungers and parasols for simply lounging around. Breakfast was a mixed continental style, meats, cheeses, some cereal, fruit juice, coffee cakes etc and plentiful. Staff very friendly throughout, and a very good location for the nicest part of Bagni de Lucca, and close to supermarket if you want to pick up some bits for day-trips etc. Recommend as a comfortable and friendly place, we would return !!

The Park Hotel Regina is based on the Main Street of Bagni di Lucca. It is a beautiful old building dating back to the 17th century. The back of the hotel overlooks a lovely area with tables and chairs sheltered from the sun with giant sized parasols. Further on is a swimming pool and sun loungers and a small jacuzzi. The pool is spotless and the loungers are very comfortable. The decor in the hotel is typical of the region and compliments the age of the building. There are some rooms with balconies at the back of the hotel. The rooms are clean comfortable and decorated in antique Italian style. Be aware that there is no air conditioning but there are stand alone fans in each room.Because it is on a Main Street in Italy , it is inevitable that you will hear some traffic so try to get a room overlooking the garden. On the flip side , when you are sitting in the garden or near the pool, you will here the nearby river flowing, the sound of the birds and the cicadas. It is a small hotel and at present does not serve dinner but there are restaurants in walking distance. We had lunch there everyday, there is no menu as such ,but we have been served, beautiful bruschetta, cheeses, bread, a variety of meats, salads all for lunch, with delicious local wine to top it off. Breakfast is a buffet continental style. Roberto, the owner has been absolutely attentive and kind to us, even contacting a local historian to open Villa Webb (small museum)for us. This is a small Italian hotel and might not be to everyone's taste, but I love it. It is casual yet classy, it is quiet but near public transport, good restaurants . It is peaceful and a great way to get away from it all. I will be back.

Great hotel with a very nice pool! Authentic Tuscan building located in the nice and quiet village of Bagni do Lucca. Very friendly English speaking staff. The city of Lucca is only half aan hour away and a trip to the beautiful beaches of Viareggio or Lido do Camaiore are only 45 minutes away.
