The area was famed by royals and the elite already in early 19th century. And it is truly beautiful.. stunning setting, and very tranquil. Covid has been very brutal to this part of the world so hospitality and smiles are both plentiful. The hotel is simple luxury. Do not expect the excess of city hotels but be indulged by the scenery. Menu is limited but what they do is perfectly fine. You will feel in complete balance and not least relaxed after a dip in the indoor thermal pool, where you may also enjoy drinks or coffee on the very neat poolside . You WILL enjoy it!

Service with a Smile. :-) (Which is hard to find in Europe). Everyone is very friendly, very helpful. They try to make your stay very comfortable. The pool is nice. The view is nice. The massages are excellent! Everything is connected, the room, the restaurant, and the spa. After an invigorating massage, you can take a nice quiet walk outside in the wilderness. It is very safe. The town below looks cute to explore.

I enjoyed my stay in this very relaxing hotel with its older style and ambiance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Excellent air conditioning. Nice old fashioned spa. Would have liked a kettle in my room but otherwise great stay.

My friend and I were in Florence for a month and decided to have a few days near Bagni di Lucca. This was THE best decision of our very enjoyable holiday. We took the train from Florence, changed trains in Lucca and caught a bus to Ponte a Serraglio which is the nearest village to Hotel & Terme. We then had to walk around 2ks up a steep hill to the hotel. It's certainly easier if you have a car. However, the trek was worth it. The hotel has the best hot pool (a constant 34C) which was just what we needed after our trek up the hill. The hotel is a little dated but clean, comfortable and has a great restaurant with very reasonably priced food - 20 euro for a 3 course dinner plus buffet. The menu changes every day. There is a day spa attached to the hotel with a variety of health massages, wraps and steam cures available at extra cost. The pool is open from 9am to 9pm and we made great use of it. I would definitely return to Hotel & Terme. Brilliant 3 days break from a very busy Florence.

This is not a luxurious hotel with 5 Stars. Very simple and clean. The staff is polite and nice. The Saturday was with special drinks and “Apricena” included in the normal price of the hotel. The breakfast was more continental than the usual Italian hotels but still not all available. I liked a lot the fresh natural honey. The bread is typical Italian. If you ask for eggs and bacon or Espresso you will get. They did not offer with request.

We were rescued from a 7 hour wait for our flight by a warm welcome at the Spa section of this smart, old-fashioned and enormous hotel. Only 20 mins from the airport using google-maps. Huge thick robes, ugly yellow swim-caps, a choice of at least 5 pools to relax in and a huge array of treatments too. A 5 star lunch: excellent cooking, lovely terrace, discrete service. The surprise: the water in all the pools flowed directly out of the mountain at 36 degrees! Even in temperatures also of 36 degrees they were surprisingly relaxing. Only criticism: uncomfortable daybeds. 70 euros each ... worth every cent!

We stayed here on our way back home from northern Italy looking for relax and we definitely found it. The hotel is nice although not luxurious. The owner is very friendly and always available for a chat or to assist. Food in the restaurant is very good. The spa is a bit dated but efficient, we enjoyed a good massage and the thermal pool. A good choice

I spent two night here last weekend. The Spa offers many treatments and I had a full body massage which was very nice. The thermal pool is good for relaxing. Restaurant serves nice food although it's a set menu. Great views over the countryside from my room. The little village has a few nice restaurants and you get a great lunch for 10 euros. Lots of interesting views in the local area.

if you're tired of the luxury Forte dei Marmi and you just need some peaceful rest in a charming place in the middle of nowhere, this is your place! Some 30 Km north of Lucca, close to Monte Amiata, Bagni di Lucca is a small village with hot water terme already known by the Romans. The hotel is a simple but carefully managed. It offers all you need for a 2-3 days relaxing stay. It's not luxurious at all, but it has the great advantage of the direct access to the pool (the only one in the terme), as well as to the main terme building, where the hot caves and the various treatments are available for the hotel guests at a 15% discount. If you like walking around in the woods, you have a variety of options, including a visit to the amazing "orrido di Botri"; "orrido" means a little canyon.... You have a good restaurant at the hotel, but we preferred to walk down to the village and have dinner at "Cavalier Bruno", excellent quality at very reasonable price! It's a small place, best to avoid too crowded periods, Spring and fall are probably the best!

Great place to be, very nice people, helpfull, good service, I recommand especially Paulina at the terme and a good massage even therapeutical. The pool is at a very nice temperature and the water massage is also great. Een heel fijn plek om een halve dag te destressen, massage en therme van top kwaliteit. Un endroit a ne pas rater, un personnel super aimable, les therme et le massage sont a recommander, mais aussi la piscine
