We stayed here for three nights in February while touring north of Pisa - as well as being a super stylish boutique B&B, the location is perfect for the mountains and the seaside. The owners have created an extremely comfortable place to stay, our suite and bed was very comfortable, clean and warm and we couldn't ask for anything more; Irena is a super hostess. The breakfast is the best in Italy and showcased very tasty Italian produce. We hope to make it back next year.
My wife and I spent two wonderful nights at Villa Lucchesi last week. The Villa was beautifully and meticulously restored recently to a style and grandeur reminiscent to the historic Bagni di Lucca when Elizabeth Browning frequented the nearby river walk across the street from the Villa. Perfect location in the heart of Bagni, with shops, restaurants, bancomat, and groceries all a safe five minute walk. The hostess Irina was wonderful, speaks perfect English, always greeted us with a smile, and patiently answered all of our questions. She served a fantastic classic Italian breakfast with some of my wife’s favorite pastries. At night before dinner, we enjoyed a glass of wine in the Villa’s beautiful courtyard garden. A great stay for us that we hope to do again in the near future. Don & Suzanne, United States…
I stayed here 4 years ago, and had to come back with my friends. Since I was last here, the owners had renovations done and every window and door is double glazed and mosquito netted. The rooms are as beautiful as ever and it was a god-send having air-conditioning as well, but the stone building meant the villa remains cool throughout the day. I particularly enjoyed the fresh local fruits, pastries, yoghurts and juice at breakfast. Every room has it's own personality so it is a must to come back time and time again to stay in each room! I definitely will! Villa Lucchesi is in a fantastic little town called Bagni di Lucca, it has great amenities with local bars, gelato, pizzeria, swimming pool and the views are just intoxicating. If that's not enough, it is only a short drive to Lucca, Barga, Pisa and Florence to name a few. It is also a particularly great place to go hiking in the mountains, ski in winter and rewind in the natural thermal spa.…
We stayed in Villa Lucchesi for three nights as our base whilst getting married in the local area. Upon check in we were greeted and treated with the utmost care and attention by the owners who made sure we had everything we needed and took pride in ensuring my wife was catered for on the morning of our wedding whilst she was getting ready. We had the Venetian Suite which included the balcony and suite area which was a perfect space for my wife to get ready with her bridesmaids. The hotel was spotlessly clean and every attention to detail was flawless in condition. We highly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a great base whilst visiting the area.
Wow, what a great BnB! Our room was huge, with an enormous bed and a TV that worked for me on the first try. All very elegantly furnished with a very large bathroom with sauna, tub, and shower to die for, and a very cozy terrace with a little fish pond. We could have hosted a party for twelve in our accommodations. We were on the ground floor, but the road noise was negligible, and there's a charming little town with a swell restaurant just up the street. Hosts are excellent, so much so that it was a bit annoying, just because I wish my wife and I were as cool and well set-up as they are. Considered killing them and assuming their identities, but they were just too nice. We will be back, not to visit the nearby thermal baths next time, but just to enjoy the luxurious accommodations.…
Lovely B and B tastefully restored building extremely friendly. We had the top floor suite with air conditioning and terrace would definitely recommend. Great location short walking distance to many bars an restaurants.
My mum and I have just come back from a 3 night stay at Villa Lucchesi. The warm and knowledgable hospitality shown by Irina and Mimmo made our stay very special. The villa itself is stunning and each room has its own theme. So much care and attention has been paid to decorating each room, they are all very unique. We stayed in the Venetian room on the top floor which has its own little balcony overlooking the beautiful mountains which was a great place to enjoy a glass or two of wine. The area is simply beautiful, a great place to relax but also close enough to a few local restaurants, a spa, tennis courts across the road and is not too far from a train station or bus stop which goes into Lucca. From Lucca you can get into the centre of Pisa or Florence easily for a day trip. We would love to go back to have a few days to relax in the garden and surrounding countryside as we spent the majority of our time sightseeing! Lucca in particular is a beautiful and very interesting town to visit. I would recommend if you want to explore the area to hire a car to give you greater flexibility, although it is possible to get around by public transport. Highly recommended for a long weekend or even a week stay if you want to relax and also enjoy the vast array of places to visit and local things to do! We definitely hope to go back.…
DONT BOOK HERE!!!! Fortunately we booked this place on booking.com around 5 weeks before our visit for 2 nights accommodation on a European road trip.. when we arrived at 7pm the place was in darkness... doors were locked nobody answered the door or the phone even though we knocked for 15 minutes and called several times. We had to find alternative accommodation and we're lucky enough to meet some very kind people who were able to point us to a couple of hotels where eventually we found somewhere to stay ... no contact from lucchesi.. no email to say there would be nobody around and it nearly wrecked the trip ! DONT BOOK ... find another hotel !!! The only good thing is that booking.com have now assured us we will not be charged
Very few places make you feel truly at home while being completely spoiled as you indulge and enjoy great food, decor, service, and culture. Not only do I look forward to revisiting, I highly recommend it to everyone. Old town of Lucca is a short 15 min drive and many charming restaurants and night entertainment are a a few steps down the street. Not to mention beautiful clay tennis courts and rafting club across the street! Wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you for everything Mimmo and Irina!
Our stay at Villa Lucchesi was absolutely phenomenal. The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean, the villa itself is beautiful with a lovely garden and fantastic amenities, and the location is amazing - it is a great place for day trips to Cinque Terre, Firenze, Pisa, Lucca, or the various wineries in Tuscany. Furthermore, the service at Villa Lucchesi is truly what made our stay so incredible. Irina and Mimmo always went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, and the food we had here was the best we had in all of Italy! Will definitely be returning soon, this place is one of a kind!
