This house used to belong to my family for centuries; Giorgio had bought it from my great uncles many years ago. The house had fallen to despair and needed some TLC. Giorgio brought this house back to life! His attention to detail really shows when you walk through the rooms and see how beautiful they are.

We have come back to stay here twice since he has taken it over and he is so kind and hospitable. He gave us a full tour and sat down with us to hear the stories that my family remembers about the house. The exterior is exactly what you imagine a Tuscan home would look like. The garden in the front is beautiful and there are tables so you can sit and enjoy the view. The rooms are just perfect: well maintained, clean, bright and updated.

Giorgio himself is one of the kindest and warmest souls I have ever met. He makes a beautiful breakfast spread every morning and is more than happy to do so. He is knowledgeable about the area and places to go see. His accommodating nature makes you feel like your staying with family.

Grazie per tutto, Giorgio!

From the moment you are greeted by Giorgio you feel like you belong. You are taken back to a time when no cars drove on streets & there was one meeting place for the village. The small village in the mountains near Bagni di Lucca has only 25 permanent residents today & is a combination of elegantly restored homes connected to bombed out shells of houses from the world wars. Our room had a living room with small kitchen, bedroom & bathroom. The bathroom & rooms was newly remodeled but the home's ancient charm shone through at every turn. For breakfast, along with many breakfast options Giorgio had a tort using homemade cherry preserves from the village waiting for us. Delicious!

The rooms are quaint and beautiful. There is a lot of history and wonder in the building. Giorgio is a huge help and accommodated everything we asked. He also makes delicious home-made breakfasts everyday. I will definitely return.

This bed and breakfast is in a small hilltop village but close enough to vehicular access in the main square that you can bring in your bags without having to drag them through the narrow "streets". The owner Giorgio is very friendly and helpful with suggesting places to see in the area. He also bakes all the breakfast goodies himself, from crostata to muffins.
The rooms are comfortable and while not big can easily fit a couple. There are en suite showers and bathrooms and the walls are two feet thick!

After having such a wonderful, relaxing and comfortable stay at B&B La Margine on our first stay, I knew I had to return. Since my first trip to Tuscany in 2009 my family and I now stay at B&B La Margine every time that we return. The overall environment is cosy, warm and beautiful and has all the modern amenities that I am accustomed to as a Canadian. The village in which it is located is a Medieval gem. The owner of B&B La Margine, Giorgio, is extremely kind, welcoming and always willing to help you with anything you may need. B&B La Margine is extremely organized, clean and well maintained. I recommend B&B La Margine to anyone who is travelling through Tuscany. it is also worth mentioning that your morning treats (breakfast) are home-made, delicious and surely will not disappoint!

We only stayed 1 night, but thanks to Giorgio, the owner, we were able to fully enjoy the potential of his structure surrounded by nature, in a remote hamlet of Bagni di Lucca!
Giorgio was fantastic, he gave us very useful advice, fulfilled all our requests, told us the history of the place, the origins of the structure... a very pleasant person!

The owner Giorgio is a wonderful person, we stayed one night in a small apartment with an independent entrance all in stone and beams, really beautiful, the wellness area is small but has everything you need and the great point is the fact that it is for exclusive use. The only flaw is that the windows of the apartment cannot be opened and consequently the shutters cannot be closed.

A warm welcome in the beautiful village and in this beautiful 1400s house. Equipped with everything, including a wellness area. Giorgio, the owner, was very welcoming and prepared excellent breakfasts for us, he also showed us the area to explore. Two days of complete relaxation.
