Carloforte was certainly worth the trip, including ferry ride. If for nothing else, come to eat the amazing and famous tuna! But we enjoyed strolling around the town and taking a drive across the island (lots of flamingoes). And the Hotel Riviera was quite nice, although we wish we had gotten a room in front, instead of on the side...

Booked months in advanced. Prior to visiting the hotel, a member of the group broke his leg and was in a wheelchair and had the use of crutches. The hotel were informed 2 weeks before our arrival. On day of arrival the hotel phoned to say one of the rooms was still be occupied as they could not get hold...

Our second stay here. We had a junior suite with a terrace overlooking the marina. The view was nice, although since our unit was on the end, a concrete wall blocked it partially. The middle units had a less obstructed view. The junior suite was not much better than a regular room with a front terrace so it's not worth...

It's a 4 star hotel but location, room and standard of service were above that. It has no restaurant but Carloforte is full of them - especially great if you like tuna. The rooftop deck is very large too. WIFI didn't reach our room but it was free in lounge etc. One demerit was the plastic sheet under the bottom...

Great location, large clean rooms, balcony, lots of choice at breakfast, without breaking the budget. No restaurant but plenty of choice within 5 minutes walk. Roof terrace - we saw the firework display celebration the island's eponymous San Pietro.

This was our third, and certainly not last, trip to Hotel Riviera. The location is perfect for walking to dinner and drinks in Carloforte. The staff is efficient and some are more helpful than others, providing a few needed beach items and the like. Our first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and we were quickly (though not particularly cheerfully)...

We stayed in Hotel Riviera 5 nights. We also saw other nice hotels like Nichotel and Pimpina, nice too, but for us Riviera was best choise. Classic room was big and beautiful, but 1st floor on one of the main side road was not relaxing (night time quiet, plus excellent sound proof). Roof terrace has nice views to have some...

This hotel is perfectly located. Just a short distance to the left once you get off the ferry and visible from the ship. the exterior is an attractive red color with the name prominantly displayed. The lobby is clean with a small coffee/drink bar, tables and chairs, and windows that offer a view of the harbor. Our room was on...
