We spent 3 days here.
Cleanliness, friendly staff, ample selection at breakfast and dinner. The wellness area is also very good. The location of the hotel is excellent, everything is within walking distance, but at the same time it is located in a quiet area. Everything was great.

We stayed here for two days in early May - it's really a great place - very quiet, cosy, perfectly maintained, with nice spacious rooms and friendly helpful personnell. I enjoyed the spa facilities - several types of saunas, two jacuzzi pools and the so-called solarium. My husband and I also had massage which was quite good. We stayed in a suite - it's 26 m2, has 2 balconies and a very nice interior. The only strange thing is the lavatory aria that could hardly fit the bidet and the pan, you couldn't close the door when you were inside. They should just swap around the bidet and the pan and it would be ok.
The restaurant menu has an Italian-ish touch to it (no wonder, cuz the hotel's owner is Italian). and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and the coctail menu. Breakfast buffet was not so great though, I personally would have appreciated some fresh vegetables, porridge or fried eggs.
I will definitely recommend this small hotel to my friends should they plan to visit Harkany.

Room Tip: Take the suite, ours had two balconies facing both the street and the garden.

This is a 3 star hotel....so is it a one star or a five star, 3 star??

Location is good but a bit away from the single main street and in a residential street. But this should not be a problem as there is nothing in Harkany save for the spa.

Nice entrance and modern clean reception. Our reception was good with a friendly smiling young woman on reception who showed us to our room. Nice touch. The room was very good. Big, bright and very clean as was the bathroom. We had doors to a small patio overlooking the gardens and pool. This would be a nice asset in Summer.

Fairly average breakfast served buffet style as is usual in most hotels and it had most of what you would need. Fruit salad was tinned unfortunately. I did not have any tasty breads or croissants/pastries.

We could not eat in the restaurant as there was a function on and so we were told we had to eat by 19.00! I do not agree with any hotel telling guests that the restaurant is closed to them. This is not acceptable, as they should of course make some other arrangements for guests.

The wellness was a welcome addition and there is an outdoor pool but the weather was too cold for us to avail of.

Overall a good clean room, decent breakfast, poor dining arrangements, average location. This a decent 3 star. nothing special, but slightly above average.

We are travelling to Harkany many years ago, but we stayed first time in Hotel Kager, and unfortunately spent only 1 night there. Our room was very comfortable, nicely and modern furbished, equipped with spa package, towel, shower gel and everything else which can be necessary in a wellness hotel.
Spa department is clean and warm, with different type of saunas, jacuzzis. Hotel has an outside pool as well.
Staff is very kind and helpful with offering programs, calling taxi, etc.
Breakfast and the bar is just perfect, without any mistake. Choice is very wide (you can have cold and warm breakfast as well; also wide range of wines, teas, soft drinks can be found at the bar).
I can and I will recommend it to anyone, who plans to go to Harkány.

We happened on this small hotel when driving through Hungary without reservations. It is wonderful. Owned by an Italian who has put thought and care into every little detail. It truly is a little gem. Very helpful staff who spoke English -- rare in this part Hungary. Excellent food and wine list. Huge breakfast. Sauna, steamroom, two jacuzzis, pool. And everything is beautifully maintained.

Not sure why you might find yourself in this town, but if you do, stay here. You will be pleased.

This is a midsize hotel with all its benefits. You can find the friendly family atmosphere and the professional attitude at the same time. The spa section is excellent, it can easily happen that you are the only one in the sauna or the jacuzzi. And if not then you can make friends easily. Maybe this friendly place moves the guests to show their nice side. :)
It was awesome sunbathing in the garden on a late October day.
If you may want to visit the famous city bath of Harkany, that is a walking distance from here.
The food was good, the room and the whole hotel was clean. Quiet neighbourhood.

We stayed at the Kager Hotel to enjoy the healing water at the Harkany bath.
The hotel is a very pleasant and cozy hotel. The staff at the reception is very helpful and assisting. Per arrival we had many questions about the spa and treatments. The staff at reception was able to answer all of them. They even helped us with our luggage, as there is no elevator at the hotel.
We also tried the massage facility of the hotel. The massage was ok. The massage bed is not very comfortable because the resting hole for the face is missing. The room was also a bit cold. It seemed there was no heating or nobody knew how to operate it. The food at the hotel restaurant was tasty, good Hungarian food!

This hotel is clean, friendly, nice and with a fair price. Staff was always very helpful and welcoming. Our room was of good size, very well heated. Only things to regret is that there was an old TV set and furniture starting to get outdated. Breakfast area is large and nice, and food was just great. There is a buffet dinner for a fix price.. a bit pricey, but hardly you will find a better restaurant in Harkany. Wellness services were very OK. This hotel is like 1 km away from the Thermal baths, so it can be an issue if you dont have your own car in winter. Also, despite they tell you to reserve a parking place, this hotel is under huge parking preasure in high-demand days, so you might end leaving your car on the street anyway, but given the fact the area is extremely quiet, it shouldnt really bother that much.

I loved to stay there, while I was on holiday around the area. I found the spa facilities quite good and well organized. The breakfast was really delicious and we got a professional service. The room was tidy and comfortable. So I can say it is a nice place to stay.

We found this hotel to be an outstanding value. The hotel spa (jacuzzis, saunas) were very very nice, and we also had massages, which were very easy to schedule on short notice, and also very affordable. The room was large and updated. The bathroom was lovely and new, and the shower was terrific. Breakfast was also good. Hard to believe we got all that for such a low price. We will come back!
