One of the most beautiful guesthouses in Greece, the room was amazing , we choose one of the suites with the sea view ! Everything was perfect , the breakfast was delicious, cooked by the owner , Mr FIlaretos who was really kind and made us feel like home! Next time I visit Tsagarada I will definitely stay there again!!!

We visited Amanita for 3 days with our family and friends and we enjoyed the brunch every morning as well as the cosy environment and the excellent service. Mr Psimmenos took the time to show us around Tsagarada on a long walk and dazzled us with his knowledge about the history of Tsagarada or the names of all different plants....

Amanita is a small warm hotel located very close to the central square of Tsagarada village, yet isolated enough to offer relaxation and the feeling of freedom the mountain provides. Excellent rooms, very clean, decorated and furnished with class and respect to the tradition of the village, without compromising the comfort and the facilities a demanding guest would require. However...

We loved this place! From the initial warm welcome to the final goodbye, we loved the beautiful view of the Aegean Sea, the gorgeous stone house and lovely room, the amazing food (!), exploring the towns and old cobblestone roads, and, of course, the beaches. The hosts were kind, generous, and interested in their guests, as well as helpful with...

Very calm, clean and cozy place. We were in the smallest room (Koukouli) and there was more space than we expected on the basis of the pictures in the website. The host and his wife are very sympathetic, provide useful information, and they are amazing cooks! They serve the best breakfast ever, and I highly recommend trying the five course...

In the middle of a lush vegetation surrounded by a forest and still very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Mount Pelion, this small boutique hotel sets new standards. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Service is personalised. The fruit trees, vegetables and herbes garden in the hotel premises are the main source of the various delicacies...

The Location is excellent, close to town and not to far from the beach. we received exact directions over the mail, and were reserved a parking space close to our room. The Amanita Guesthouse is one of the magic places we discovered through traveling. The food, especially the breakfast, is tremendously good and all the fruits and vegetables are self grown in the beautiful garden. This is a family run establishment. They have a large outdoor garden in which they grow there own fresh vegetables and fruits which later are served to the guests in the most exquisite taste in breakfast and dinner which you must plan at least for one evening. The rooms are large and the views are terrific. The out door areas...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
AMANITA is situated in a truly privileged location between mountain and sea on the eastern slopes of Mt. Pelion in the genteel village of Tsangarada in the Prefecture of Magnesia, Greece. Behind it soars Mt. Pelion, ancient home of the Centaurs; a mountain much sung of; a mountain where the trees cast deep shade and countless springs bubble forth. Gazing outwards from the Guesthouse one sees the blue of the Aegean Sea, spotted with the islands of Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonnissos. All around is the verdant countryside of Tsangarada with its renowned paths, centuries old trees, old stone fountains and bridges.AMANITA is a beautifully restored old mansion of the 19th century. The AMANITA Guesthouse consists of two buildings: the three-storey main house and a two-storey outhouse. We offer 6 accommodation options, 5 of which are located in the main house (2 suites consisting of 2 rooms, 1 three-bed room and 2 double rooms), and a self-contained, fully fitted 2-room apartment with its own kitchenette in the outhouse. The main house has two sitting areas, a breakfast room and a professional kitchen. We attach great importance to local cuisine. That's why our famous breakfast that we serve includes hand-kneaded bread, home-made jam and local specialities such as pies and herby omelettes. ... more   less
