Nice place. Shame that we probably got worst room as no view except the car park! They did offer to move us but said they were full. One room with view and balcony was available as people moved in next day and left before end of our two weeks. Did say we could move but only about 3 days before we left so we didn't bother. Michael who worked behind the bar was marvellous. Very cheerful and chatty all time. The pool area is lovely and peaceful during day. Would be good to say what time the bar would close at night as we walked all the way up the hill one evening to find it was closed at 9.45pm. It was the first time we had been to Kefalonia and Lassi was very nice ut very crowded. We were told it was busier as everybody had booked holidays this year. We definitely would go back but would stay somewhere else.

My second stay here, hopefully not my last. Lovely clean, comfortable apartments, pool and bar area, with some stunning views, surrounded by peace and quiet - total bliss! Michael is the main man here, extremely friendly, approachable and does his best to keep everyone happy with a laugh and a smile. It's a several minute walk down to the main strip where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to visit including some supermarkets to keep your apartment stocked. There are a few lovely beaches close by. All in all Lassi is a beautiful place to get away and relax. I absolutely loved my second visit here - as much as the first. Now, the hill. If you are relatively fit and not medically restricted then it not as bad as some say. A previous poster hit the nail on the head saying it's sort of in three parts. The initial climb - steep in parts. The middle stretch - very comfortable to negotiate. The final hurdle, steep but short. Just take your time, stop if need when needed. I'm nearly 55 and did it for every night for my 7 night stay and this with a belly of food and several beers! Thank you Sunset Paradise, A lovely stay, in a lovely part of the world.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Sunset Paradise. We loved our stay and found the apartments exceptionally clean (cleaner visited every day) and very spacious. We had a balcony looking out to sea but also a private terrace which gave us more space. Aircon was extra as we expected but one unit was more than adequate for the 2 rooms (apartment for 4). The hill was absolutely fine, there are 3 sections to it and the last section is quite steep but shaded by trees so ok in the heat of the day. The views were worth it though and it was great to relax by the pool which was so peaceful. Would definitely return if we ever visited Lassi again.

We had a really enjoyable week with our teenage son, our second time to beautiful Lassi - our one bed apartment was spotless with maid service every day. Our balcony was a great size with a stunning sea view. The Pool area was lovely and Michael the manager literally makes the place - what a lovely man, nothing is too much trouble, he’s really such a perfectionist so our room was spotless and food delicious. Really enjoyed our chats and the odd lazy day we had by the pool. I struggled when reading reviews about this hotel due to the hill - honestly, we are an active family but if you don’t hire a car you WILL struggle. The taxis from the main strip ranged in €6-€8 euros. Walking down is no problem but up is another story. This is not one hill - there’s 3 sections and in the heat of the day and early evening the almost vertical climb is impossible. We hired a car for a few days and the car even struggled! That being said, the actual hotel is clean, lovely staff, lovely pool area and it’s a ten min walk down hill to the strip. Also close to the beautiful Makris Gialos beach. I’d stay here again but only if I had a car the entire week.

Just returned from a week at the Sunset Paradise. Our original holiday was cancelled so booked this at last minute. Our apartment was basic but quite spacious with 2 good air con units. The views from our balcony were great (looking out over the sea and to Rabbit Island). The pool area was lovely with plenty of cushioned beds and a little snack bar. Michael was good fun and we all loved to wind him up !! (thanks for fixing our shower!!). The hill might be a problem for some people but taxis are 6 e. I would stay here again

Stayed here in October for 6 nights, wasn’t suppose to but the transfer dropped me off here in error. Long story short, because they owned my actual booked accommodation, I was allowed me to stay here instead. Turned out to be a great move! Lovely place, so quiet yet beautiful. Lovely apartment and staff (including the very helpful Michael - thank you all). It is a slightly steep walk back up as others have mentioned but only a 6 - 7 minute walk, I managed it each night as a 53 year old after a few beers and food so it was actually beneficial in a way. It felt totally safe even after dark. I loved my stay here, very close to the bars and restaurants and the main beach which is gorgeous. My transfers error proved rewarding for me. I wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.

We’re leaving today after spending 10 nights here. This is definitely the best apartment we’ve stayed at since we started holidaying on Kefalonia, 4 years ago. Our room (no.4) was spacious with a well equipped kitchen complete with small oven, table and chairs and tv, and a lovely little balcony with a partial sea view (very pretty). The bed was very comfy, which in our experience is a rarity here!! The shower was small as they always are, but it was wall mounted and there was a plentiful supply of hot water from morning to evening. You just get used to the lack of space, and we were given clean towels every day. Toiletries were left in the bathroom for us too. The staff are very friendly and relaxed but with a great attitude to guests. Nothing was a problem! We were plagued by mosquitoes when we first arrived, (quite rare to have so many but they had hatched as a result of standing water due to the very recent hurricane, and much of the island was suffering). The staff here went out of their way to provide us with plug in repellents and cream, and cleaned our room every day just to make sure. The problem went after a few days and by then we’d been to the chemist for more cream. Next time we’ll be more prepared! The swimming pool here is ace, very clean and plenty of space around the pool. Also showers and WC’s nearby. And it was great to have an alternative option to the beach. The Pool bar was an added bonus although we didn’t use it much. We spent most of our beach days at Makris Gialos which is a steady walk downhill from the apartments. It’s a really lovely beach, very popular and great fun. Not off the beaten track if you like to be completely on your own (which we have done before several times in other areas). But this time we loved meeting people and soaking up the holiday fun. We used Blue Paradise sun beds which were free if you bought a drink or two or three, the owner is very charismatic and loves a chuckle. Argostoli is approximately a 40 min walk away and €6 in a taxi. There are buses but they’d stopped for the season. There are several supermarkets in Lassi and plenty of restaurants. We ate at Tzogias 3 times - a family friendly traditional restaurant, generous portions and free cheesecake if you’ve got room for it. The rest of the time we cooked at home. The hill. There is nowhere on Kefalonia without a hill! It’s not that bad, but it is steep in places. We’re definitely much fitter now than when we arrived. And if you struggle, try walking backwards! A big thanks to everyone at Sunset Paradise. We will be back.

We arrived a day late due to the hurricane to find no power, no water and bits of a tree in the pool! We were allocated a different room to the one booked for one night as ours wasn't ready. To be fair a tree had fallen on the apartment next to ours and that needed to be removed. Loads of people turned up and set about the trees with chainsaws and it was long before most were made safe. There was one car that was completely trapped by a tree and and the fire brigade had to deal with that. Due to the lack of power, Michael had given all rooms some nightlights but no lighters! Luckily we had seen this coming and got our own. Our proper apartment was nice, good aircon but the shower was small. It was a shame that none of the events highlighted in the visitor book in the room happened and equally dissapointing that the pool side bar shut at 5.30 and there was nothing further to do. The hill is steep. In the heat of the day, it's a slog! Overall, the problems that the weather caused cannot be held against Sunset Paradise and they dealt with them swiftly, it's just a shame that the evening events didn't happen. Michael and all the staff were very friendly and good to chat to, it was clean and tidy and remarkable value.

This was our second time staying after staying 2 years previously. The hotel is your typical basic Greek hotel, the staff are lovely and very helpful. The views are gorgeous, which is due to the location and a bit of a hill. I'm not the fittest but could manage it daily, and it helps to burn the holiday calories. There are taxi's for about €7 for anyone it is too much for. Will be back again in the future.
