THIS IS THE RESTAURANT!

I have eaten here several times while in the area and always enjoy it. The food, service and ambiance are always great. While I usually order  Wiener Schnitzel, which is excellent, I switched and ordered the Rump Steak, another outstanding choice. There are many other impressive choices on the menu. When the weather permits, there is a large patio with umbrellas located in a natural setting. Very reasonably priced, it is a sure bet while in the Nettetal , Viersen area.

Friends of ours live near this lovely restaurant in Nettetal and we have dined here on many occasions. The menu is excellent, the service impeccable and the wine selections are first rate. They offer a nice selection of meat and fish dishes along with some seasonal items. I had a filet on this occasion prepared medium rare and it was absolutely delicious. During the Christmas season they offer roast goose with red cabbage and potato dumplings which is outstanding. The servers are very friendly and attentive to your every need. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip and the place was tip-top. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and organised my taxi to the airport for the next day with no hesitation. The food was excellent and the portions are large. Sampled two german beers and they were both very good. My room was on the top floor and had outstanding view of the lake and woodland. Room was very clean, tidy and spacious. Outside beer garden was well shaded and was an excellent place to read my book with a beer before dinner. I did go for a long woodland walk after work and the birdsong and wildlife was in abundance with lovely views across the lake. Will definitely come back here.

We saw/visited the restaurant by chance. A beautiful location. A beautiful location. The place was busy on a Sunday afternoon. The service was unprofessional and seemed overwhelmed. We ordered two starters at 15 euros each (which were OK). The mixed tapas plate (24 euros) was actually inedible. The presentation was also awful. The bill ended up being 70 euros.

Nice little hotel connected to a stable/horse farm. I wound up in Nettetal kind of by accident and spent the night here and it was really comfortable and relaxing out in the countryside. Really cute and nicely not the standard business kind of hotel. Mainly German speaking staff but they were very patient and kind with my lack of German. The restaurant downstairs was also excellent.

I booked this hotel for a business trip for one night. I arrived by car and was quite surprised about the surroundings of this hotel. It’s in the middle of nowhere and out in the country side. There is a horse ranch that belongs to the hotel. All in all very idyllic.

The outside of the hotel looks more like a farm and the reception is part of the restaurant. But then after checking in, and heading towards the stairway up to my room I was quite surprised. The first thing I noticed was an extremely pleasant smell.
Very clean and fresh.

The room as well was a nice surprise. I loved the wooden floors. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom also had a nice size and the towels were clean. Everything in this room was exceptionally clean and the interior was quite new and very well maintained.
Maybe it was just me but I found the television was a bit awkward. I had troubles turning it on even though there was a description.
But why does a TV need a description in the first place?
Wi-Fi is free but slow.

We had dinner at the hotel which was lovely and breakfast was good enough.

This hotel is a wonderful stay for a night or two.

Gasthaus Lüthemühle (or Luethemuehle) is our fixed abode in Nettetal. It is surrounded by charming countryside, quiet roads, ponds: ideal for walking, riding and taking the oldtimer for a spin. Rooms are very clean overall, and comfortable. High ceilings make them slightly less cosy, but then again this is not the place to stay in your room, the nature beckons to be discovered. The Gasthaus comes with a cosy bar and charming restaurant serving a variety of nice Schnitzels and other typically local haute cuisine. A good glass of Zweigelt wine is a must as is supper outside in summertime. On warm evenings the riding stables may add to the place's flavour odor-wise, but that's done on purpose to remind the visitor that nature is at the Gasthaus's doorstep.

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet, but the ones facing the stables (away from the road) are quiter still.

Overall a very enjoyable experience, hotel is set in lovely surroundings down a quiet road with lots of nearby walks along the rivers and around the nearby ponds where there is loads of wildlife.

The hotel is next to a substantial equestrian centre which does mean there can be some country smells but nothing significant and certainly nothing to put you off.

Rooms are spacious enough and bright (no A/C but windows which open wide, it was 36C when i visited and still cool) and the staff pleasant and helpful always greeting you with a smile and good morning. Food is also good, the menu isnt the largest but is of a good quality and there is an English version if you dont speak German. There is also a restaurant a short walk up the road which does good fish dishes if you fancy a change of scenery.
