What views! From the room, from the restaurant. So soothing. Classic! We had a whole apartment (travelling with older children) - absolutely perfect. Very nice staff. Unfortunately, we only had one night, and the weather was pretty poor. Would have loved to be there on a 'real' summer day, enjoying the water and the surroundings. We'll try to be back....

Our room was not so special, a bit old-fashioned in a 1950s kind of way, though it did have a balcony looking out onto the Lake, but our renovated bath was excellent. This hotel is large, and classic. It is in the upper price range in Langenargen, which is a charming romantic village on Lake Constance. We swam here in...

We stayed in this hotel over a long weekend at the beginning of May. The weather was still really cold, but Spring was in the area and the tulips were beautiful. The hotel room was pretty simple, but I have rated four stars simply for the location and views - IF you choose a lake view room of course. The...

We were driving near Frederikshaven and found this hotel purely by accident. It is right on Lake Constance and we had a nice room with a superb view of the lake. The restaurant is very good (caters mostly to persons who elect full board). The Klink family runs it, and Mrs. K is really a nice lady. The restaurant staff...

From before I even arrived the staff were very helpful. Alice had given me a tip on how to get from Zurich to Langenargen. Alice recommended a ferry ride from Konstanz which took in a lot of the small towns over the 2.5 hour trip. Well worth the time as it is the most scenic place. During the stay the...

Far from centre where the action was. Far from supermarkets, train station, banks, shops. Service is cold and unfriendly with woman behind glass counter with air of superiority like she was doing us a great favour by letting us stay there.. Not much chance to meet any international guests or locals... Outdated, drab and only one tiny lift to fit...
