Booked our stay via booking.com. Had to cancel it. Did it on time and was entitled to full repayment of my down payment (as confirmed by booking.com). Despite numerous reminders, the owner of this place is yet to pay us back. It has been three weeks now. And she would no longer reply to our emails.
A wonderful stop in the vineyards close to Thoronet Abbey and Tourtour village. Some will appreciate more than others the various collections of Antiques but the rooms and the park are magnificent and the hostess is most charming and very efficient in her help and advices.
This is a really wonderful place to stay: the house, the garden, the pool, the people, the totally adorable dogs and cats. ... And we got a great breakfast and all the information and help we needed. A place we will return to. The wine is great too!
As you drive through the iron gates you see a typical French "domaine " with big trees shading the house from the harsh sun. You are greeted by Lady Lydie who is most welcoming together with her 4 cute dogs. I and my husband decided to stay there after having read an article about Lady L. We wanted to experience what it was like to stay in a genuine "domaine Provençal " and we were not disappointed. Lady L is charming, kind ,helpful and positively French. Her house is beautifully decorated in true " provincial style" antigues and curiosity mixed together. We were served breakfast at the back of the house, under some shady trees surrounded by vines and to the sound of crickets. Lady Lydie manages the vineyard and the b&b by herself and still she was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and restaurants. We went looking for the traditional French Provence and we found it at Domaine le Clos du Pavillon and Lady Lydie.…
I could have not asked for a more sublime experience in Provence. The property was divine and a wonderful way to relax beneath the trees reading, writing, and listening to the Cigales chirp (cicadas). Dogs and cats roam freely. It is superbly rustic and I would have not changed a thing. Lady L offered to take me to town for dinner but instead prepared for me some vegetables, hams, chips, breads, wine, cheese, and creme. Breakfast in the morning was croissants, breads, fruits, yogurts, cheese, teas, marmalades, etc. I fell in love with this place and did not want to leave. I just want to mention Lady L was kind enough to fetch me from the bus because I would have had to walk otherwise, and even brought me to my next accommodation in town the following day. Very appreciative of a beautiful stay! …
