We found Camping la Rolandiere totally by accident, in fact we were directed to a different campsite altogether. This was a great find though, with lovely chalet on quiet grounds of beautiful chateau and owls to be heard at

Quite the prettiest site we have visited in France, this time as a couple, but look forward to taking our grandchildren next year, though how we will get them to leave the site is another matter. Set in lovely grounds with topiaried trees and great facilities, recommended for teenagers too. Also has hotel rooms in a lovely building adjacent to... More

Just the best, beautiful property and very well set out site, small and quaint with everything you need. Not at all posh and high end facilities but clean and more than comfortable. The highlight has to be the owners, immensely friendly and always there when you need them, even just to share a beer and chat on the terrace. This... More

The campsite is very well situated in a secluded and peaceful location in the Chateau grounds. The pitches are of a good size and the utilities water, electricity etc are close by. There are excellent and comprehensive facilities, which are kept very clean. These also include a good sized swimming pool which we took full advantage of. The campsite is... More

The site feels small but is actually quite extensive. Good sized pitches in the grounds of a lovely chateau. The owners are very friendly and helpful and they seem to be available all the time. The site is very convenient for the autoroute to the south west but in the middle of lovely countryside. While we were there it was... More

The property and experience were top notch. The owners were lovely and very helpful; great sense of humor and fun. We stayed in what is described on the website as the "separate room". It was charming. There are a number of walks available from the property. It is a great place for dogs and dog walking.

This is one of our favourite holiday locations in the world. We have been coming here for something like 30 years. In recent times it has changed hands, but the high standards are as good as ever. This year we took a caravan, and so rented one of the emplacements for the fortnight. The standard of pitches is high, with... More

We stayed for 2 nights in our tent on our journey home, the site was very quite as it was the end of the season, the site was beautiful with large pitches with plenty of space. The views from the site with the Chateau in the grounds was lovely even though the weather wasn't great. We didn't use any of... More

We first used this site for a few nights camping at the end of a longer holiday in France. This year we had a night in one of the Chambres d'Hote, based on a similar stop three years ago. The swimming pool was very welcome after a long hot drive, the owner and his family were very friendly and the... More
