First and foremost one has to say how polite, helpful and charming the staff are at this hotel. It is only a pity the rest is not as good. Travelling with a friend we drew lots as to who would take which room, 1st or 3rd floor, with a view for both facing a solid rock and the hotel garage (for which, if you have a car, you are expected to pay 25 Euros a day!) not even in France do they charge that. The 3rd floor bedroom was done up like a nightclub, black and gold. The 1st floor one was at least white with glittery mosaic walls in the bathroom. Kitch in both cases. The size of the rooms was good as was the balcony if you were happy to stare at the netted rock face of the mountain! The 2 enormous sliding wardrobe doors were the most irritating feature of the rooms. Each time you wanted to use the bathroom you had to slide one of these doors to one side and when you wanted anything from the side where your drawers were or the safe, you had to slide them the other way. Muscles required. I object to having musak filtering from a speaker in the ceiling above the bed. I mentioned this at reception who seemed surprised as they didn't seem to be aware of this! A kettle was provided with sachets of indifferent tea (no English Breakfast tea - I take my own luckily) and coffee was in strip form as you would get in a cheap motel or lesser hotel. Not what you would expect from what calls itself 5*s. There was no milk ever given, so I took my fresh milk from the breakfast/dining room. A bottle of water was provided at the start of your stay and that was it. You were expected to buy your own thereafter. Having stayed in a REAL 5* for 4 nights in Split, 2 water bottles were given daily in your room. The continental breakfast let's call it that, was disappointing. Dried up cheese and ham sitting in the fridge, but if you chose the cooked option, this at least was ok. The best part of the hotel was the pool, but not the somewhat ridiculous and not very comfortable loungers. We had been led to believe it was an Adults Only hotel but that was not the case as it turned out as there were children, well behaved thank goodness. This is a hotel with pretensions and not to everyone's taste sadly, but Omis is a delightful town with some very nice places to eat round and about and well worth visiting but pick somewhere else to stay.

The hotel was amazing! Rooms clean and spacious. Location was right on the beach where cabanas awaited for those taking a dip in the incredible Adriatic Sea. The hotel food was spectacular, down to the warm croissants and fresh bread, incredible feta cheese, caprese eggs benedict, fish plate, crispy French fries, pasta, etc. Each food ordered from their menu was delicious and perfect. One thing I appreciated above all else was the staff, everyone was courteous and super helpful. Special shout out to Marijana and Antonela. Both women were delightful, attentive, funny and sweet. They knew how to make our trip extra special, recommending places to visit, local drinks to try, and restaurants in downtown Split to try out. This was my first time to Croaita, I'll definitely be coming back and staying at the Damianii again!

My wife and I booked this hotel in 2019 with the intention of visiting in summer 2020. Due to the pandemic, the hotel kindly moved our booking several times and eventually to August 2023, once it was safe to travel. I have summarised the stay to make it easier to read but happy to answer any questions if a reader has more questions Positives - Beautiful location away from the main town and a beach walk (30 minutes) into Omis (nearest big town) - Fantastic service from all staff who all went out of their way to make our experience 5 star - Modern and quiet swimming pool, jacuzzi, wellness (pool, sauna etc) and dining area - Breakfast is fantastic. The staff bring you a menu with a range of options and you just choose whatever you want (all good quality) - Marijana (forgive me if I spelt this wrong) who works breakfast time in the restaurant is a credit to the hotel. Professional, efficient, friendly and thoughtful. She definitely made our stay that extra bit special and nothing was too much trouble (my eating regime can be a pain on holiday and she was super helpful). - Gym was fantastic for a hotel gym (albeit a little cramped but this was because there was so much good gym kit packed into the space) - Private beach for hotel guests only (please not there is a fee for hire of beds and/or cabana) - Local restaurants directly across from the hotel are a good standard and right on the beach Room for improvement - Cabana’s in the hotel are only free if you spend 500 kunas a day (£55) - The hotel is on the main road leading into Omis… This is a pretty fast road similar to a busy A road in the UK which can be daunting to cross (there are crossings but cars don’t always stop straight away). Best advice is to cross the road and then walked along the beach path into Omis and avoid the traffic (it’s also a lot prettier) - Hotel food is really expensive when you compare this to the local area. We are out most nights for £40 but the hotel at least double. - Seating on the suite terrace was really limited and looked out onto the car park. It important to reinforce that this hotel is pretty fantastic despite there being a few minor areas that need a tweak. The staff make this hotel extra special…. From the cleaners, night porter, reception and restaurant staff. They are all exceptionally helpful, polite and professional which made a for a great experience. We are seasoned travellers and my wife works for a large meetings and events company so we have seen a lot of hotels and spaces. We have stayed in many boutique hotels and this is up there with the best of them. Well done 👏

The most amazing hotel I ever visited! Everything exudes sophistication and luxury. Bed is very comfortable, pool is amazing. Hotel is not so big, so its not crowded on the breakfast or at the pool, which for me can be really irritating! Very professional and kind staff, especially girls and one man at the desk that made me welcome surprise. Beach is private with comfortable sunbeds with baldacchinos (free of charge for guests). Kindly recommend!

We really enjoyed our time here. The staff were all great, the food was really good and the room was huge and really well appointed. Loved it. Would definitely recommend to couples looking for a chilled week especially.

Luxury, sleek, glamorous, swanky adjectives BEGUILE the fact that apparently the pool-side Couches are not for relaxing upon. Five-Star courtesy by certain hotel staff was sadly lacking when engaging with two guests recently!

All the rooms I believe are suites, the rooms as fabulous, with a huge bed and spa bathroom, sadly ours overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel. The car park/ garage will cost you €20 a night, plenty of places to park free on the road. The staff in the restaurant are great, it’s not a cheap place to eat and drink but well executed. The only negative we had was the heated pool was so icy cold no one could get in it. There is a spa pool but that will cost you €20 each , but you do get a free drink. Who thinks these rules up, so no one got in the pool the whole time we stayed. (So May as well not have a pool)

This hotel could quite possibly be the best I’ve EVER relaxed in. Amongst the stress of day-to-day life I found this hotel a breath of fresh air. The pool and scenery were tailored to ALL my needs. Would Absolutley recommend this paradise to anyone. A smashing vacation, if I do say so myself

As other reviewers has said the staff is extraordinary and nothing is too much trouble to them. Mainly staff speaks understandable English. Breakfast was a la carte with lot of options. Don't hesitate to ask if you want to modify some dishes. Pool area was small but enough for the size of hotel. Unfortunately there were no parasols but three sun lounges but if you use them you need to buy some beverages. I already paid over 300 euros per night so I think that is exploitation. Room 101 was good size and quite. Housekeeping could be better - especially with jacuzzis. Our inside jacuzzi was very dirty and they hadn't change the water between customers. Beach was sandy but it was very crowded with families. While leaving we noticed that second AC was leaking and some of our belongings were damaged. Hotel hallways are too dark, you need really watch your steps. If you want to eat and spent time also outside the hotel area you should consider renting a car. There area very few taxis in the area. Bus is going without exact schedule every 30 minutes to Split (17 kunas) and Omis (11 kunas). Overall good stay but way too overpriced hotel to spend time. Croatia should not have same price level as Finland...
