This B&B is situated in a small city that is in the middle of the Belgium fruit district. A great place to start a walk or cycle tour or visit castles by car. There are a lot of routes you can walk or cycle.

We felt very welcome when staying in the Loonderhof. The welcomed us with a glass of their own made apple juice. The room we had was spacious and the beds were good. The house looks really great with the old wooden stairs, the tiles at the floor and the big doors. A house with a lot of character. There is also a nice yard and great garden where you can sit if you like. At the yard you can have breakfast or dinner when the weather is nice. The breakfast is great and with enough variety. You can have dinner as well, if you ask them in advance. The hostess, Ingrid, is a great cook. They also use products from their own garden. One night they asked if we would like our to have our meat at the bbq. First we doubted, but it wasn't any effort, it tasted great. They also...

Visiting this B & B is like going home to visit family. Ingrid and Jos are so welcoming and friendly. The accommodations are the loveliest we have stayed in while traveling here in Europe. We look forward to every chance we get to go to their home. From the moment you walk in the welcome you with a drink of their fabulous, organic apple juice; made from apples locally. Breakfast is NOT to be missed. Ingrid always has wonderful local items and homemade preserves as well as eggs to order. Of course our girls always look forward to after breakfast when they are given some day old bread to go visit the sheep in the back. :) Within 20 minutes of this residence you can visit the St. Truidin Flohmarkt on Saturday morning and the famous Tongeren Antiek Markt on Sunday mornings. If you are going at Christmas time. The Valkenburg Cave Christmas markets are only 45 minutes away. Also a visit to Brussels would take only about an hour. More

“If you are a family the largest room only has a queen or full bed and two twins, but our three girls all pile in together. It is quite a large room, though with the furniture there is not room for an extra bed (there is a sitting area). But if that does not bother you, they will work with you.”
