The Lodge is located on a huge property that includes the hotel rooms, hiking trails, reception for meals and even the Original Canopy Company for zip lining. The grounds are very well preserved and filled with an abundance of animals like the famous Pizote and humming birds. Bring a rain jacket beaches it does tend to rain a lot. The...

Cloud Forest Lodge offers 72 acres of primary and secondary forest with more than 180 species of birds and other animals as well... and yes, our hotel is in the middle of it. We're so happy you find this a great place to relax, rest and enjoy nature. Make sure to stop by next time you visit Costa Rica.

Lodge is up a hill on a poor road. About $6 cab ride to town. Rooms are basic, no TV, fan, AC, heat, phone or anything. Room actually got really cold at night. Breakfast was made to order so plan that into your timetable as it takes longer. It was really tasty though, either Costa Rican breakfast or American which...

Great hotel/Lodge. Maybe not a five-star hotel, but the service and the surroundings feels like five stars, in particular the front desk staff is friendly and professional, and the garden / cleaning people do a good job with the overall cleanliness. The Good: great cabins with basic amenities, rustic yes, but comfortable and very safe. The staff will take care...

Staying at Cloud Forrest Lodge was Ideal for my daughter and me. While She had easy access to all the adventures of Montverde, all the animals of the rain forest came to me on our cabin porch or the tranquil porch of the main lodge which is nestled into the trees. Although it reminded me of camping, it had all...

The climate there was cooler than the rest of our honeymoon. But it was enjoyable too. Breakfast had some good fruits. In the middle of the forest, there are paths you can follow to walk around. But be sure not to be in the middle of your promenade when the sun sets, as night falls fast and there are wild...

Great hotel with amazing view and it's own private zipline and hikes. This hotel has been around for years but is very well maintained. Service is great. Restaurant is wonderful. You feel like you are miles and miles away. Make sure you do the hike and crawl inside the tree. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. There is no...

This is a great hotel for many reasons. It is next to a natural wildlife corridor which means many types of animal pass by in close proximity to the hotel. The hotel offers night hikes right on the property. The property is also very close to the original canopy tour, a tour perfect for families with young kids. It is...

Enjoyed our stay, did not expect luxury but we were pleased with what was on offer. Walked some of the nature trails and saw some amazing birds and even the flying turkeys. Staff at reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful. Had dinner one night and were the only guests eating in that night. Steak was cooked to perfection!

The highlight of staying here is that from the main lodge balcony you can see hummingbirds, agoutis, coatis and much much more doing their thing in the gardens, which is pretty wonderful and an easy and relaxing way to watch wildlife. The location is also extremely green and peaceful as the lodge is set in large grounds, with trails to...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was a very rustic experience since it is located literally in the forest and the road up was unpaved and kind of steep. We had a cabin that was very basic. There was no television or phone but the reception area was really close. We had lunch when we finally got...
