The staff were excellent, both welcoming and professional. The location is set at the southern end of Santa Elena, close enough to walk to town or in the other direction to the lookout for the sunset. You really need a car though, the distances for the sights and parks are quite far and the access to the area is limited...

We were taking the 6am bird walk at nearby Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve, and needed a local place to sleep so we could get to the preserve at 6am. Las Orquideas was a good choice. It is very clean, and the room was basic but comfortable. The bathroom was very modern and spacious, with nice tiling throughout, and a good...

The hotel was clean, simple. Beautiful view, it backs up to a very deep ravine. Monkeys and coatis outside in the morning. The owner is very nice, very helpful, speaks english. The staff were all very kind and helpful. breakfast was good. I liked this hotel very much and would certainly recommend it to others but I will offer a...

Stayed here for three nights and it was great! The room is nice and clean. Bathroom is good and there is hot water in the shower. Breakfast is nice and homely, prepared while you are there. The view from the hotel is amazing, and we got to see white faced monkeys right outside our window! Nidia is a great host...

The hotel has more of B&B feel which we love. The hotel is neat and clean. Beautiful grounds, modern rooms and solid breakfast. The best feature is the owners. My significant other had a hard time with very itchy insect bites. The wife is a former nurse and gave my Sig, O, some meds that really helped her. One night...

This hotel is out of the bustle of the center and yet walking distance from it. The view from the hotel is stupendous - you have a panorama of the mountains that includes a waterfall. The owner treats everyone who comes through like family and really tried to make sure you get to do everything you want to do. She...

Very clean Rooms, homemade breakfast in the mornings very nice family run. Couldn't ask for more in this city. Very close to the town and owners will help you plan and book your activities. Stay here if you can.

Loved it here. Views were spectacular. Owners were so helpful and friendly. Very clean, breakfast was good and plenty of it. Short walk to town. Saw a sloth on the walk one time. Had a private bathroom. Definitely would stay again and recommend it to others. Free internet.

We just finished a two night stay with owners Nidia and Danilo and they made us feel like we were at home. The rooms were comfortable, and although some have complained about noisy walls, we did not experience that. The breakfasts were excellent and we visited a lot with the owners; very friendly and helpful. So, for us, the #1...
