I spent 5 nights at this hotel recently. The staff at the hotel was excellent. The front desk people were efficient and very helpful in scheduling tours for me, as well as very friendly. My room was very clean and nicely appointed. The walls are a bit thin and I could easily hear my neighbors. The hotel advertises itself to...

We spent one night in Monteverde and the Hotel Cipreses was a great bargain! Andrea at the front desk was helpful, showed us a map, and offered to book us any tour we were interested in. We mentioned wanting a massage and she arranged for an in-room couples massage within the hour. The breakfast was delicious! All of the employees...

This hotel is a great base to explore the Cloud forests and activities in Monteverde. It's a short 10 minute walk to the centre of town and is in a quiet residential street (which is great if you are looking to relax). Rooms are pretty simple but clean, all set in lodge style rows. Breakfast is fine. For the price...

We like the beautiful garden, the breakfast and the service. The view from the room is wonderful. It is a hard job to walk from the city centre to the hotel when you are not in good condition. The people at the reception were great and very helpful to make excursions.

Rooms are very simple, but paper thin... People at the reception desk is quite friendly. But staff at restaurant very rude. Seems that they never see foreigners. No smile, no interaction at all. Even when you speak Spanish. Breakfast very poor. Won't come back here again.

I was happy to find this small, clean hotel so well situated with respect to access to the rain forest, canopy walks, coffee plantations. It is on a hill overlooking the local soccer field and a 15 minute walk from the small 'downtown' area. Close to businesses, but not in the busy and noisy main street.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and comfortable room! Stayed here for one night and absolutely enjoyed our stay. Bed was cozy, room was big and breakfast was very good. Location is a little bit off the main area of restaurants and shops but close enough to walk. Would definitely recommend to stay here and would come back again!

People were quite welcoming, but there wasn't much to do right at the place, so we in fact only use it as a place to sleep.... and for that purpose it was quite all right, though we had some heavy rain to get throughout to get to our room

“Don't let the lights on if you don't want somebody in your room. This is a "green" hotel We went to eat and left just one light on and when we're coming back we saw a man coming out of our room, apparently he was turning the lights off. I don't think they should do that because you're paying for your room. ”
