We stayed for 3 nights and were really impressed by this hostel. It's true to it's promises on its own website and gives great honest advice about activities/trips in the area. Felt completely trustworthy and was genuinely helpful.

As the other respondent said, the shuttle is not free, but I can't really imagine it would be as Santa Elena is way up in the mountains. A resort close to the airport could have a free shuttle theoretically, but I never saw any free shuttles really. There are plenty of transportation options for tours and activities. Sometimes the place that you get the tour will send transport or the kind folks at the pension can help arrange things for you.
