There is an old part and new part of the hostel. We stayed in a newer room and it was very nice. The staff at the front desk are extremely helpful and very friendly. You get a free breakfast next door at Taco Taco which is a nice bonus.

From the moment we set foot in Pension, our trip was made. In La Fortuna, we felt the need to keep one hand on our wallet at all times. Greg made us feel at home with infectious energy and wonderful advice. I will never stay at another place in Santa Elena.

I can't say enough about the hosts. They are available throughout the day helping you out with every part of your trip, no matter where you are heading. I've never seen service like this at a 5-star hotel, and they are not doing it for commissions! They are helping to make sure you have a great time. The hostel is...

As a group of 7 friends we stayed 3 nights in the Pension and absolutely loved it. Definitely exceed the expectations you can have of a backpacker hotel. All the place is very clean and comfy (rooms, bed sheets, shared showers and toilets, kitchen, lounge), staff has always been friendly, available, helpful and guests very respectful of each others. Free...

What an amazing place it's a real backpacker hostel. All the receptionists without exception are friendly and helpful right from the minute we stepped in asking if they'd got a room. Our private room with a bathroom was spacious clean with everything we needed and plenty of hot water for a shower. The hostel is well placed for walking into...

The fully equipped bedrooms in the second (newer) building are really comfortable at a reasonable rate. Shared facilities enable everyone travelling on a budget to prepare and even to cook one's own meals The staff is incredibly helpful and offers plenty of information and advice about anything in the area of Monteverde and Santa Elena.

This is the sort of area and accommodation that make one want to stay and stay and stay. Lovely, helpful people - especially Diego and Henry who always made time to help and answer queries, and to have a chat. The facilities were great - pleasant garden, good indoor seating area, decent breakfast and discounted food just next door. Not...

Santa Elena immediately appealed to us and we were happy with our first impressions of the town and the hostel (it’s in a great location). Two smiling faces met us and showed us to our garden room. The room was basic but had a good en suite shower room. The gardens are nice, offering an alternative place to chill in...

This hostel is everything it promises, they aim to exceed expectations and in my experience that was the case. Super friendly service, gave great diferections and seemed to truly care about the guest experience. The private room was simple and very clean. And...... they have actual hot showers which is a treat (as it was pretty cool weather). highly recommended,...

Great place to stay, rooms are an ok size but very clean and cozy and showers are hot (though not much pressure) We have to say the staff here in particular were very helpful with getting tours booked e.g. Zip line and night jungle tour, they also went out of their way to make sure we bought the best value...
