Not only did elder brother freddy give us breakfast and a lift to the bus station before 6.30am he reduced the bill by one third as only two of us occupied a room for 3. And younger brother Eddy was full of good advice on where to go and how best to get there. A family business which really looks...

Stayed two nights at the hotel with family. Nice location - 5 min walk to downtown. It's a family run place. Clean and cozy. The beds were a bit creaky in our room but otherwise it was all good. The owners son running the hotel is gem of a person. Took care of everything we needed. Overall good experience

This hotel was a great find. Run by brothers and other family members, they did everything to make you feel welcome eg. extra late breakfasts, advice and lift to the bus station. Being a 5 minute walk from the centre, it was quiet, unlike I suspect, more central hotels. We had a huge room and ensuite with table and chairs...

We were very impressed with Cabinas Eddy. Rooms were simple but clean and very well-priced. They served one of the best breakfasts we had on our trip to Costa Rica AND it's included in your stay. This breakfast would have cost about $10 US if you'd gone out to eat at a restaurant. They also allow free use of their...

Pros: Good breakfast options and clean room and homely feeling. Staff very nice. Discounted tours. Cons: no coffee except between 7-9 am. Coffee is not to the standard of Costsrican quality . Spoiled milk carton with coffee ( check before using) Torn towels. 13% extra if payed by CC. Very tight limited parking.

Great food in the morning. Very helpful staff. Cozy lodgings. Only downside is a very basic room, but that is exactly why it is affordable. If you do not want a full hostel experience, but enjoy the perks of hostels (price, community), this is definitely the best option.

My girlfriend and I (in our early/mid thirties) stayed in Cabinas Eddie for 3 nights. The hotel was a great place to stay for visiting Monteverde. We are very active and did not need an elaborate room and Hotel Villa Fortuna fit the bill providing an affordable way to have safe and convenient lodging. The room was pretty basic (beds,...

This is not luxury. But don't let that stop you. Its a hostel with some dorms and some private rooms. We had a large private room with private en suite. It was clean, basic yet comfortable. Breakfast is superb. You have got to try the banana pancake and the homemade syrup. I would stay here again.

Breakfast was amazing, lots of options for food that could accommodate everyone. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful in answering questions and getting us squared away for the day. Laundry services were inexpensive and they did great work. The location was perfect for getting to the center of town or getting out to the sights. The...
