We couldn't be happier with our stay here. The room was perfect for our family of 4 with bunk beds for the kids. The common room gave us the ability to cook and hang out and play games. But the best feature is Jose at the front desk! He is helpful beyond measure and works way too hard! Be sure...

This is fantastic place to stay while in Monteverde. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, it is inexpensive and within walking distance to Santa Elena's shopping and dining. They can recommend and book tours for you, including transportation, and if you are looking to save some money they have a fully functional kitchen where you can keep...

Jose at the front desk knows his stuff. Our room was great, breakfast was appropriately communal and we received great advice as to where to go and who to talk to in Monteverde for the best activities and prices. Location is within walking distance of all the restaurants we wanted to visit and all tours picked us up at the...

I stayed 3 nights at Camino Verde. I was travelling alone but I felt very safe and comfortable at this B&B. The Wifi connection is great, and the breakfast is very good. There's also a supermarket near the B&B where you can buy your own groceries for other meals. Also, there is a great place to dine just two doors...

We loved our stay at Camino Verde and wished we could have stayed longer. Their main dining area had a community feel where you could get coffee and tea and get cozy after walking through rain or mist from the cloud forest (we visited in July during the rainy season). They have an ipad which you can use to call...

Well, this was my first time to the Monteverde area and stayed at this B&B for 2 nights. so I have no comparison with other hotels/hostels in the same area. In general, I would choose a different lodging next time if I have a choice. The rooms are too small and dark. It literally only have the bed(s) and narrow...

We stayed 2 nights at Camino Verde B&B with our 2 teenage children and found this to be a perfect little place to stay. The rooms are small but we comfortably fit 4 people in a room with a double bed and bunkbeds. The B&B is nothing fancy but has a great common area where people hang out (with a...

My sister and I stayed here our first two nights in Costa Rica. What a great experience for the price! The rooms are a little small and nothing fancy, but we weren't in there often because there are so many activities to do in the area. The rooms are clean and fresh towels are available. The common spaces are pretty...

My girlfriend and I moved around quite a bit while in Monteverde, and we were very glad that we chose to pass through Camino Verde! The lobby is very inviting and communal, we stayed up late for a few drinks while playing Jenga and watching VH1 hits! Our favorite part of our stay here was breakfast in the morning -...

More hostel than hotel. If traveling with a group and looking for a cheap place to stay it may be ok. However, paying for a room for one person was definitely not worth it. Moreover, the room shown when booking was not the room I received. I went two days without a working toilet. The town is small so the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
