We stayed here 4 nights and found it to be the best of our stays in Costa Rica. Jose was welcoming and helpful and was able to assist us in booking tours and transportation. The location of the B&B is perfect because you're outside of the town center, but you can walk to everything within 10 minutes. Wifi worked well...

We stayed here for several nights, using this as our base to explore Monteverde and Santa Elena. The location of Camino Verde is great as is offers a generally quiet spot that is only a few minutes walking distance into the core. The views are fantastic, and were great to enjoy while eating breakfast. The breakfast options were great, in...

Our family of 4 stayed at Camino Verde for 3 nights in December 2014. Additionally, our transfer from San Jose Airport to Camino Verde, our onward transfer to Samara and all of our local tours were arranged by them. All service providers were top-notch. Ask for Bernal as a guide. We did both a day and night tour with him....

As the title states, good location right next to a great little soda that's perfect for lunch or dinner. Which works because Camino Verde offers a really nice breakfast (standard casados - gallo pinto (rice and beans with egg) or your choice of more traditional fare). Andres was great - helped us book all our tours and even got us...

What makes this place so special is Jose. I left my backpack there and didn't discover my mistake until i was 3 hours away in Monteverde. I called to explore options to get it and Jose immediately offered to have it sent down to me by 1pm the next day. He was so kind and helpful i was able to...

We had a wonderful stay at Camino Verde. You really can't beat the location, food and accommodation for the price. Andres was so helpful in booking our excursions and it didn't cost anymore than if we were to do it ourselves. I highly recommend the evening rainforest walk! The breakfast is made to order by Andres Aunt and it was...

They run an organized and efficient place here. Andres was extremely helpful from the moment we arrived and he helped us figure out all of the activities we wanted to do. We were then able to book our activities with the companies we wanted directly through him. Our room was both clean and homey and our room had a balcony...

A Bed & Breakfast with 28 rooms? As far as we could tell Camino Verde only has eight. Big chance you get a room at the hotel across the street, which apparantly belongs to the aunt of one of the managers. This has lots of rooms and looks more like a highway motel instead of what was pictured. Then the...

Clean place, beautiful setting, super friendly owners and admin. Amazing food as well. If any request should arise during your stay, the owners (whom you have to fetch at the cafe next door probably- it's a Central American country so the pace is more relaxed) will take care of it so you feel comfortable and satisfied. Plenty to do around,...

We really appreciated the friendly and available staff. They were always willing to answer our questions and sort out our plans. Our room was clean and it was great to have our own private bathroom. The location was perfect.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
