My sister and I stayed one night due to them being booked for the rest of our stay. The vibe there was very friendly and welcoming which I very much enjoyed. Alonso was great!! He was incredibly helpful even after we left that next morning! The shower, oh the shower, hot water and lots of pressure, that's all I have...

I stayed here for 2 nights. One of the cheapest options in town. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He helped set me up with excursions (he wasn't pushy for me to book things through the hostel) and public transportation to MalPais. The only negative thing about the place is that the room closest to the reception didn't have...

I stayed here only one night because they were fully booked for the following one. The rooms and hostel are nice and they give you free breakfast. Location is good although Santa Elena is a very small town so wherever you are staying you'll be central. They offer you tours that you can book and it's very close to a...

I'm tracking solo for a month here in CR and this hostel was very easy to work with and welcoming. You can book all the tours/activities you want to do at the front desk, super easy. VERY nice staff and a kitchen you can cook meals in. Free breakfast of cereal, bread, butter, and eggs you can cook. I had...

Having spent 4 nights here, I can highly recommend mtv backpackers. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was comfortable, spacious, and had two bathrooms for six people. The shower was the best I've had anywhere in Central America in the last two months - hot and powerful. All the staff were friendly and spoke good English. The free...

The hostel is in a good location. It's next door to a super market and ATM machine. It's walking distance to other businesses as well. The staff are nice and extremely helpful. I stayed in a private room and it was perfect for the price. The showers are also awesome and have hot water.

Definitely recommend this spot, it's like one big happy family. We opened up the common room and had the whole hostel up chatting over a few drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful with booking tours. Breakfast simple but hits the spot. We stayed in 4 bed dorm, quite small but does the job. We woke early for the 6.30 bus...

My fiance and I stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience! We booked the double private with bathroom and were very comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and hospitable. It was very easy, convenient, and affordable to book any trip or activity from the hostel, no need to call ahead. The kitchen area was well...

This hostel was on a good location with the supermarket next door. It was also very cheap. Extremely helpful staff who really helped me sort things out. The rooms were nice, with en suite bathrooms. There was even a bbq hosted when I was there.

We stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was perfect for us. Staff was friendly helpful and bilingual and allowed us to park for free. Smaller hostel but great social gathering area. Would stay here again for sure. Had a blast. They also had a BBQ the night we arrived and we went to the local grocery store and grilled...
