We only stayed there 3 days/2 nights. The resort is very nice. Food was more than adequate and continental breakfast of toast, yogurt, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, included. Pros - nice rooms , nice views from 2nd storey, good food small walking trails behind hotel for bird watching. Cons - wooden shutter knobs require attention on all rooms (we had...

This is a very peaceful and serene boutique hotel. Picture perfect and great food, served poolside. I know the owner of this place from my years in Salem Oregon.... at least I assume he still owns it. His staff at Tambor are very polite and friendly. I recommend the upstairs suites. Ask them to take you up stream on horseback...

This place is a gem. It is in the middle of what seems like an endless beach. Dark sand but wonderful. Lots of shells and the sunsets are out of this world. It has the usual all inclusive stuff but the staff is all really good and the security is great. If you walk 40 minutes down the beach you...

This was my second visit to Tambor Tropical. Lucky me! Bruce from Seascape Kayak Tours introduced me to this gem of a resort. Tambor Tropical is a very unique lodging experience. Garden of Eden like beauty. Close and linked to the local community. It is a very accommodating resort where you feel a sense of connection to the area around...

They take great care of you.The rooms are in well appointed chalets with one up, one down. The rooms are huge by any standards and feature a bar and cooking facilities including a mini fridge. Tambor Tropical does not accept children unless you reserve the entire resort, which I did between Christmas and New Year's. We had 28 family members of all ages from one to seventy, and it is hard to imagine a more perfect place for an active family to relax and enjoy each other. Each building is a bungalow beautifully crafted out...

In November we stayed three nights in Tambor Tropical Resort. This was our fifth visit to Costa Rica. Allthough we have been in very luxurious resorts, we have never stayed in such beautiful bungalows. Juan Carlos is a very dedicated manager who gives personal attention to the guests. The food is of a high quality. You are the whole day surrounded...
