great place , had excellent time - definitely will be coming back Myself and few friends spend 5 days staying at the hotel . This is the best way to travel to the areas like that , where you can relax on the nature , swim in a pool or dip in the ocean

Like the other reviews say it seems like you'll never get there and it is a dirt road but when you arrive it really is a gem. We stayed in the house which was excellent. Viktor and Marina were super nice and helpful but the caretaker, Dennis is golden. He was very helpful and accommodating. You have a private black...

We stayed there 6 nights. It is a very beautiful location. Being at the beach for the sunset is highly recommended. My mom stayed with us and it was great for her with not so great knees as there are few stairs on the property (only a couple up to the pool and a ladder in/out of the pool). Victor,...

I have recently returned from a holiday to Costa Rica and stayed 6 nights at the Hotel La Tranquilidad at Playa Palo Seco, 10 km outside Parrita. Part of the beauty of the hotel is that it is a little bit off the beaten track and therefore it is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Despite this it...

If you are looking for a place that has this "away from civilization " taste, there it is. Once you got there , although it takes a while to drive to the place, you got sensation of a place you would like to stay forever . When you wake up in the morning you will have two friendly dogs and...

It is the best place I have ever been to! and Marina and Viktor work hard to keep it this way. We arrived late at night and next morning realized we were in haven! Hotel Tranquilidad is situated right at the beach. Every morning we lounged at the bench with ocean view and in the evening enjoyed spectacular sunsets. There...

We loved this place. It's at the far end of Playa Palo Seco, really quiet and laid back. Use of the kitchen and very large rooms, really clean and well-kep grounds, and great access right to the beach. The couple who run it, Victor and Marina, are really nice. HIghly recommended.

Honestly, I did not know what to expect upon arrival. [Full disclosure: I was in from Tokyo and meeting my friends from Moscow, who are related to the owners, Viktor and Marina.] What I found at the end of a dirt road on a rather small, secluded island, was the perfect antidote for Tokyo life and a family Holidays in...

We were thrilled to discover this special place. It's true that it's at the end of a long, bumpy road -- but it is so worth it to drive down that road. The hotel grounds are lovely; the beach at one end of the property is basically deserted; and the tidal river/lagoon/whatever it is at the other end of the...

Reviews looked good prior to booking? The ocean was fine with a nice beach to ourselves and a beautiful sunset. However, upon arrival the room still needed to be cleaned and were not freshened up at any point during our stay. The beds are uncomfortable and need new bedding. We were told after our stay when checking out that a...

I would not get into discussion ,because everyone has it's own opinion, but it's very disappointed to read the review like this when you really trying to do your best in providing good service! When you accidentally meet the people on the road outside the hotel property leaving your place without saying anything , without checking out, and asking them...

“Cabanas are more central to the property and face the pool. If the rooms are full, you might want to stay further from the kitchen to avoid TV/guest noise. The house faces the back garden and the kitchen there gets quite hot. But you will have lots of privacy and room to spread out.”
