We found ourselves here quite often. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Calm and fresh environment. We craved some good deserts and a good espresso, and this is the place to really enjoy both in a quite garden.

A very nice, friendly and relaxing garden guesthouse with a delicious homemade breakfast and different variations of great coffee. We stayed here for 3 nights! The owners were friendly and helpful to organize a 4day trip (Yala- Safari, Ella, tain through the beautiful highland with waterfalls etc.,... Kandy). If we come back to Sri Lanka one time, we'd like to...

This was one of our favorite stays in Sri Lanka!! The place was beautifully decorated, with a peaceful garden and a really homey feel... AND only a few meters walk to the beach! The staff were incredibly welcoming (especially the Dutch owner) and always very helpful. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable and the private balcony was a...

Booked for one night but ended up staying two! Great location 20 seconds from unawatuna main beach (west end). Helen the owner was lovely and helpful and makes the best banana bread and brownie!!! Breakfast was a delicious FEAST. We stayed in the twin room on the bottom level and just pushed the beds together which was fine. Big bedroom...

My fiancee and I stayed at Sunils for 3 days in March 2016 and absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful garden oasis, so peaceful and relaxing. The homemade cakes are delicious and the service is wonderful.. warm, friendly and not pushy at all. Couldn't recommend it enough.

This guesthouse is very well maintained by her owner, who is always here, happy to answer your questions and to help you as well. Nice rooms with large balcony for our room (7), nice handmade breakfast. Wifi ok. Very close to the beach. The only drawback is the water pressure as there is not enough public water in Unwatuna, too...

We had a lovely stay at Sunil Garden Guesthouse. First of all, the actual garden/café is beautifully set, like a little oasis in the village. The breakfast was delicious and substantial and the service was excellent. The room we had was quiet, comfortable with lovely decoration and attention to detail. The guest house is actually very quiet at night, safe...

I can assure you this is the best where we stayed in Sri Lanka. European quality is procured by the Dutch lady who runs the guest house. Clean beds, ceilings, water in the rooms, friendly personnel, mosquito net, comfortable mattress, value for money

Uncleaned prawns served for dinner, that were also slightly old (not fresh from the sea as promised). Veggie salad was average. Staff was initially friendly, but bad attitude when we complained. Nice ambience though and located at towards the end of the Unawatuna beach road.

We didn't stay here in the hotel, but we visited as a group of 8 on our first day in Unawatuna. We continued to visit for the next four days of our stay. The food is unreal; particularly the baked treats/ desserts. I would highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie!
