I'm here because the tuktuk driver brought me here when I asked for budget accommodation. The rooms are not ventilated so there's a strong damp smell, bedsheets are very unclean, the only time I saw the owner was when he asked me for money. You'll see a lot of wildlife inside and outside your rooms (spiders and roaches of course)...

I reviewed this place a few years back but am currently revisiting and staying in their newly created penthouse. I think we are the first people to use it and part of it is still to be finished but it's really very pleasant. The rooms are big and the front veranda is a great place to chill out with a...

We stayed there 2 out of 4 nights in Unawatuna. The place is nice in landside and quiet ( but you will have monkeys jumping around on the roof) Our friends had the budget room downside and we decided for the more expensive one with nice terrace up in the first floor. It's shabby chic and all dusty. The beds...

First night of the stay was fine in a quite little room which was quite cheap and it had a nice little patio you could sit out on, second night however was not. The owner "Bundu" came and joined my partner and I when we were sitting down outside our room. he had just came back from the bottle-o and...

We stayed here for nearly one week. Location is great at the quiet end of the main road can walk to everything but your out of the busy end of things. Bundu and Haishini made us feel very welcome and comfortable, rooms are very clean, linen is fresh, very nice mosquito nets, private bathroom, balcony looking into treetops, feels like...

My partner and I stayed here for a few days; we would recommend it to budget travellers who want a quiet place to sleep. The guesthouse is in an ideal location, a short walk from the beach so as to be a peaceful retreat from the noisy beach scene but at the same time within a few minutes walk to...

This place is situated on the quiet road on the way to Jungle Beach and 3 mins walk away from the main beach. I loved the open plan living space surrounded by the lush green coconut and banana trees. There are many artefacts in the living space, old buddha statues, pictures and plastic flowers, which add to the owner's very...

Although this place is budget and we didn't expect much in the way of comfort or quality with regards to the room, tacky, damp with adequate furniture and cold shower; But there's no excuse by the owner, trying it on in front of another guest, in not wanting to fulfill his part of our booking and trying to charge us...

We stayed there for 2 nights, when we arrived at lunch time our room was still not ready, the host then tried to sell us an upgraded room, which we refused, when I went to ask about the timings for breakfast which was included in the price, he said that he had told the booking company that there was no...

We had booked but arrived a day early, and to our surprise our incredible hosts had a room spare! It was ready for us, but no worries, we popped our stuff in the room and went off to explore unawatuna. The rooms are pretty basic, don't go expecting luxury, but with a comfy bed, good working fan, mosquito net &...
