We had an amazing time in this nice and cozy restaurant. The food was very good (seafood pasta and tiramisu) and the staff is friendly and nice. We had a little chat with the manager who offered to call a tuktuk for the way back to our hotel. Perfect !

We booked Dream House spontaneously in the internet in advance and didnt have any idea what'd expect us. First time Sri Lanka as 5 girls group. Double room and Threebed room very clean and nice furniture. Each room with own bathroom, which had really modern design and spacious shower even though the water pressure was low. Mosquitonet covered each bed...

We stayed here for one night based on booking(dot)com reviews and we kind of wished we didn't stay here. The guesthouse in itself is quite pretty, with a touch of heritage to it. But the room was quite stuffy and there are no mosquito screens on the windows so at night, we had to shut the windows and it felt...

We did not stay at the Dream House as a guest so we are unable to comment on the hotel. We did eat at the restaurant several times and this is easily in the top 5 Italian restaurants we have ever visited (and, yes, we've been to Italy). The chicken cacciatore was braised perfectly and remains my favourite dish after...

I stayed at Dream House in January 2013. It is small but full of character. My upstairs room was also small but clean and with interesting décor and furniture. However even in the WINTER season, it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy despite the two fans going full pelt all night. The room was also difficult to access via the narrow...

First things first, the Lonely Planet guide is certainly outdated! Unfortunately, the lavish review full of promise of ‘Italy meets Sri Lanka’ definitely did not eventuate. Though the location is great, the brochures enticing offer of ‘a mix of local and Italian cuisine’ is not true (no Sri Lankan curry to be seen). The room, although nicely decorated (no doubt...

We have explored this area before and decided to spend 10 nights here with the sole purpose of relaxing rather than touring the country. Dream House is a perfect place to slow down and unwind. Friendly, discreet, staff and a beautiful garden terrace are particular highlights. However, be very aware that there is no AC, only fans. In July, that...

A fantastic place! The rooms were very nicely decorated using a blend of colonial style and modern art, which worked out wonderfully. Our room had a nice little balcony looking out over the courtyard and was very clean. The Italian food in the restaurant was amazing! Having lived in Italy for many years we were quite surprised to find such...

A beautiful Boutique hotel with only four rooms, colonial style, very clean, away from the busy main road and beach, which is fantastic as it allows you to wind down and relax, and take a 1 minute walk to the beach. You wake up with singing birds and monkeys. The Italian Management (Stefano and Betty) is extremely friendly, The italian...
